The Christmas season is one of our favorite times of year. Christmas is a time to count your blessings, spend time with the people you love and look back on all that you have accomplished in the year. We encourage everyone to embrace the Christmas spirit during your time here in Charleston! Below are some of our favorite Charleston holiday activities and restaurants.

ACTIVITIES

The Charleston Place

Let it Snow! Snow is hard to come by here in the south, so we have to get creative. Every evening at 6 PM and 8 PM, "snow" will magically fall onto the Market Street Circle at The Charleston Place Hotel. It is a unique winter wonderland experience.

James Island County Park

Holiday Festival of Lights. Drive through a vibrant holiday themed light show while listening to holiday music. The gates open at 5:30 PM every evening. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate.

Bulldog Tours

Charleston Strolls Holiday Walking Tour. Spend a couple of hours walking through the historic downtown district, enjoying the holiday spirit and seasonal decorations. Tickets and pricing can be found by clicking on the link below.

Dock Street Theatre

135 Church St, Charleston, SC 29401

Experience the magic of the holiday season with an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol performed at the historic Dock Street Theater. Tickets sell out fast. If you are interested, we recommend securing your tickets early through the link below.

RESTAURANTS

· The Den at Hotel Emeline. This is a great place to grab a holiday themed cocktail.


· Prohibition. This restaurant/bar will be decked out in Christmas lights galore.


· Henry's on The Markey. Stop by to enjoy some live music.


· Hall’s Chophouse. This is an upscale restaurant where you can experience the coziness of the holiday season. We recommend trying their espresso martini!


· Leon’s Oyster Shop. This is a Charleston staple that everyone needs to try.
