Once upon a time… Just kidding! Let’s rewind to November of 2022. I was still rocking my Halloween profile picture and that was enough for JD to introduce himself by saying: “Love the Betty Rubble costume!”. Before I replied, of course I had to investigate his profile. My immediate reaction? YEP! 😍 The only downside was he lived in Ohio. We chatted all night and the next day (Friday) he invited me to dinner at the Hofbrauhaus. I’d never heard of such a place! Come to find out, he thought I lived in Frankfort, KY. A few days later (Tuesday), he asked if I was going out for tacos & margaritas and I told him I couldn’t since I didn’t have anyone to go with. He responded, "I'll go with you!" I said, that's 2.5 hours away and without hesitation, he said, "I like driving!"

Later that evening, he was sitting in the El J’s parking lot in Frankfort… Indiana! He got there before me and text me: “I'm watching to make sure you don't walk out of the Travel Inn.” HAHAHA! For those who might not know, Travel Inn is a rent-per-hour motel behind the restaurant. When I saw him for the first time my heart melted. He was even more handsome in person! It was a perfect date... we talked, laughed and talked some more. ❤️ I didn't want it to end! Oh... be sure to ask him about my seven cats!! 😂😂

Fast forward to December of 2024. I asked him early in the week what he wanted to do that weekend. He promised to find something fun for us to do. We ended up going to the Hofbrauhaus and then went to the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo. Dinner was delicious and the lights were beautiful! Later in the evening, at the zoo, we sat down on a bench and… 💍! I couldn’t believe it! Looking back, I think I might have gone into shock!

So, here we are, more than two years after our first date and we can’t wait to celebrate our special day with you! 👰💖🤵
