How did you meet? 

Benji: After I wooed her with my Matthew McConaughey like voice on the phone, we met for dinner at Cantina 1511.











Ali: We met at Cantina 1511 in Charlotte for dinner. I had thought about saying no, but Benji had actually picked up the phone to call me the day before, so I had to go. Besides, he talked like Matthew McConaughey.











What was your first impression of each other?











Benji: She eats like a bird. I don't have to worry about her getting fat.











Ali: Why won't he stop shaking his leg? Is he nervous or something? 3 and 1/2 years later, he's still shaking his leg. Turns out, that's just what he does.













When did you know it was the real deal?











Benji: When she bought me a 40 pack of Lance orange crackers.











Ali: Benji was definitely living the bachelor life in the beginning. It was an uphill battle. Several months in, we were eating pizza together. Afterwards, Benji got up and out of force of habit, went to wash off his plate. It was actually a paper plate, but I couldn't help but beam with pride.













What's your favorite memory with each other?











Benji: We were in the Virgin Islands, on St. John. We hopped a ride up the coast to Cinnamon Bay, and had the beach entirely to ourselves. We snorkeled in the clear blue waters&nbsp;and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, then trekked through the jungle to see&nbsp;an old sugar cane plantation. We finished the day with ice cream, pizza, and authentic rum&nbsp;at St. John's Brewers.













Ali:&nbsp;It's hard to pick just one, but we've had some pretty amazing adventures on day trips out to Lake Jocassee where we've gone boating and climbed up to the waterfalls. Also, our vacation to the Azores was pretty spectacular.













What's your favorite quality about each other?









Benji: Her qualities are many. She is, simply put, what I need, whenever I need it. A reservoir of strength. A ray of sunshine. A gentle stream. She is my co-pilot.











Ali:&nbsp;It goes without saying that Benji is incredibly sweet. But he is also a great story teller, and it's hard to not be in stitches as he recounts one of his many great stories such as the glass eye episode.













Tell us something we don't know about your other half.









Benji: A bulldog lies within that tiny frame. We call it Ali-saurus Rex.











Ali:&nbsp;Benji has his own vernacular, and nothing is more entertaining than listening to him pronounce&nbsp;potatoes au gratin or noreaster.&nbsp;













Tell us the proposal story.









Benji:&nbsp;Wind, rain, and rainbows were all present.











Ali:&nbsp;We were out on a boat on Lake Nantahala. The weather was perfect all day, until an evening storm rolled in. I guess he was waiting for sunset, but once the storm was brewing,&nbsp;Benji decided it was now or never to propose, then it started raining sideways. It was all worth it, because after the storm cleared out, the most beautiful double rainbow appeared.













What are you most looking forward to about married life together?









Benji: A continued lack of covers at night.











Ali:&nbsp;More laughs and adventures. Plus someone to reach all the stuff I can't reach.&nbsp;

Details

Audrey is Ali's older sister and&nbsp;matron of honor. Only one and a half years apart, the two grew up playing together, being on the same sports teams,&nbsp;sharing similar groups of friends, and even attended the same college. As each other's only sibling, Audrey and Ali have been close friends over the years. Audrey's girls, Autumn and Piper, provide much enjoyment for Aunt Ali and Uncle Benji.

Buddy is Benji's father. Sticking with the southern tradition, Buddy will serve as Benji's best man during the wedding. Benji looks forward to having Buddy at his side for this&nbsp;special occasion.

Buddy Sheehan

Brian is Benji's older brother. Despite a 7 year age difference, Benji and Brian have always been close friends. Uncle Benji is also a fan favorite with Brian's 2 daughters, Bay and Blythe.

Brian Sheehan

Ashley is Ali's best friend since high school. They share many great memories including the high ropes course, band class, board games,&nbsp;and beyond. Despite now living many states apart, Ashley and Ali have remained close and love that whenever they get&nbsp;together, they can pick right back up where they left off.

Kyle and Benji went to high school together and have remained close friends throughout the years. Post-college,&nbsp;Benji and Kyle enjoying living&nbsp;right around the corner from each other in uptown. Although&nbsp;Kyle now resides in New York, the two have stayed close buddies.

Kyle Riggins

Brandi is Benji's younger sister and soon-to-be&nbsp;Ali's sister-in-law. Brandi immediately made Ali feel welcome to the family and the two hit it off, sharing many good laughs over all the "Benji-isms" that happen on a regular basis. It's always a treat when Brandi comes to visit from New York, and she usually comes bearing some authentic bagels or Kate Spade goodies.

John joined the family by&nbsp;marrying Benji's sister, Brandi, in Charlotte last December. We'd like to say he knew what he was getting into, having&nbsp;experienced&nbsp;first-hand on a family&nbsp;beach trip&nbsp;how competitive the Sheehans are when it comes to family game night. John also&nbsp;hails from the north, and&nbsp;Ali is glad to have him&nbsp;as&nbsp;a fellow Yankee in the family.

John Green

Lindsay is married to Benji's older&nbsp;brother, Brian, and is part of the core fabric of the Sheehan clan. Both Lindsay&nbsp;and Brandi have become like an additional set of sisters for&nbsp;Ali, and Ali couldn't be more excited to call Lindsay her sister-in law. Not to mention, Uncle Benji and Aunt Ali love play time with Brian and Lindsay's girls, Bay and Blythe.

Lindsay Sheehan

Stephen and Benji work together, and have become good friends over the years. Whether it be bonfires, fireworks, or camping, there have been many good memories made on Stephen's family farm.
