The tale of Ali and Joe,

Ali Paletta Had been living in Arlington Texas for quite some time and had well established herself.

Joe Pauli had decided to return to Texas after six long years of traveling around the country for work. Joe had found the perfect job to bring him happiness and a chance to express his creative nature in Arlington, Texas. Joe was very happy to create awesome works of art, reconnect with family, make new friends, and build a life back in Texas. Joe has a natural talent to make friends from complete strangers, and he began to meet and socialize with all walks of life. Something was missing though, he wanted that great partner to be able to share new and exciting experiences with.

Joe had been experimenting with local online social and dating applications and had been on the lookout for someone to share his adventures with. As Joe stumbled through navigating a dating app, he had found a profile that had caught his eye. It just so happens that person’s profile kept coming up on his page, and in his mind. Being a little shy, he hesitated to reach out and just decided to take a few more peeks at the profile. Unfortunately, Joe had no idea that every time he brought up that profile, it let the user know how many times a certain person looked at their profile. Apparently, Joe had looked enough times to catch Ali’s attention. Thank goodness she didn’t take him as a stalker!

Enter Ali Paletta-

With a simple message of “Hello” Ali lit the fuse to a long-lasting relationship. Joe and Ali started texting and getting to know each other online very casually and in a refreshingly silly manner. Joe was heading on a road trip when he told Ali he had to go because he had to drive, but if she wanted to- she could call him. Ali made the first call to Joe Pauli, and he thought it would be just so clever to answer the first phone call in a high pitch voice… because first impressions are everything. Ali couldn’t believe how weird….but interesting this guy was. Joe was intrigued that this young lady was very interesting, and willing to put up with his silly. Joe and Ali went on their first date on Joe’s birthday, and he knew Ali was a great catch when they couldn’t stop laughing while shooting straw wrappers at each other while dining in a nice sushi establishment. Not only was Ali beautiful, interesting, funny, crafty, caring, and generous, she was Polish and Italian as well, just like Joe’s Grandmothers always wanted.

Alexandria (Ali) found her way to Texas through work via the USAirways/American merger almost 10 years ago. The aviation career path had been a journey of college in New Hampshire, first job at an airline in Northern VA, and then making it back home to Pittsburgh for a few years prior to the big move to Texas.

Over the years Ali’s travels and friendships were plentiful and exciting. She was able to visit so many incredible places with the best of friends and family but the missing piece was always the right partner to share the journey of life with. Airline work shifts were always odd, very early mornings, afternoon/evenings, overnight shifts, and in the past even double shifts. This posed challenges in even having time to meet anyone of interest resulting in far too many unmemorable chats and dull first meetings from the online dating world. She was just waiting to find that interesting and unique someone. Eventually this is exactly what happened because on that fateful November day in 2016, Joe entered the timeline to forever capture that role!

And the rest is history in the making. Countless adventures laughing, creating and building things together, traveling, camping, floating the river, embarking on the joys and tribulations of home ownership together. Sadly, as life goes there were plenty of losses and grief for the both of us, but these experiences brought us closer together and solidified that strong and lasting relationship that we have today.

Joe and Ali can’t wait to see what’s next!
