The Science of Big Machines will be at COSI during the weekend, as well as Titanic: The Artifact Expedition
COSI, the Ohio Contractor’s Association, and the Local 18 Operating Engineers invite kids and adults alike to explore our annual Science of Big Machines exhibit! For over 20 years, guests have been able to experience the exciting science and technology of construction by climbing inside real pieces of machinery and operating them first-hand. Participants will be able to learn more about construction careers from a variety of industry professionals and real operating engineers. From small tools to big equipment, you’ll discover how big jobs get done.
The Science of Big Machines will be located on the west side of COSI, next to Dorrian Green Park, and is included with COSI General Admission and Memberships. A variety of equipment will be on hand to discover.

With more than 200 authentic artifacts recovered from the wreck site of Titanic on display with full-scale room recreations, TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition is an educational and intriguing experience for all ages.
Located in Clintonville, the Park of Roses is one of the most unique and renown parks in the state of Ohio. In existence since 1953, visiting the park during the Rose Festival has become a time honored tradition for Ohioans statewide. The Columbus Park of Roses is a 13-acre plot in Whetstone Park that showcases 11,000 total roses consisting of more than 350 different types. In addition to visually stunning roses, the park features many gardens: the Main Rose Garden, the Heritage Garden with turn of the century roses, the Earth-Kind Rose Garden, the Herb Garden, and the Perennial Garden. Throughout the past 56 years, the Columbus Rose Park has garnered many honors, including being one of 133 All American Rose Selection gardens, selected as one of USA Today's 10 Places to Admire the Bloom on the Rose in 2006, and being one of Columbus' top wedding venues. The park is open daily from dawn until dusk, and admission to all visitors is free. The best time to view the roses is during their full bloom which begins in mid-June and lasts through mid-September.

The Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) is an art museum in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Formed in 1878 as the Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts (its name until 1978), it was the first art museum to register its charter with the state of Ohio. The museum collects and exhibits American and European modern and contemporary art, folk art, glass art, and photography.

The Ohio History Center is a history museum and research center in Columbus, Ohio. It is the primary museum for Ohio's history, and is the headquarters, offices, and library of the Ohio History Connection. The building also houses Ohio's state archives, also managed by the Ohio History Connection. The museum is located at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, site of the Ohio State Fair, and a short distance north of downtown. The history center opened in 1970 as the Ohio Historical Center, moving the museum from its former site by the Ohio State University. The building was designed by Ireland & Associates in the Brutalist style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places along with the Ohio Village in 2023.
Juneteenth ON THE AVE will be held on June 15, 2024, Noon–6 p.m., on Columbus Historic Mt. Vernon Avenue, between 17th and St. Clair Avenue! The event will feature entertainment, vendors and a Black owned food truck festival!
Juneteenth ON THE AVE is a collaborative commemoration hosted by the Ohio History Connection, Poindexter Village Museum & Cultural Center, Maroon Arts Group, Canvaas, Sole Classics and Artfluentual.
Our mission is to commemorate Juneteenth, which dates back to June 19, 1865 and is the oldest known celebration of the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth ON THE AVE is also a celebration of Black resilience and creativity, a showcase for performing and visual artists and a vehicle to promote and support Black owned businesses.
