This little Italian grocery and deli is peak NJ. The owner is from Italy and imports 90% of what he sells. Great place for getting special pasta, sweets, and ready-made Italian dishes. I recommend you try their chicken parm or prosciutto and mozz sandwich and their marinated mushrooms.
Chick’s Deli

Hidden away behind another building, this deli is a hidden gem. They have some of the best cheesesteaks around! Another thing you should try is their pork roll egg and cheese which is another great local favorite!
La Cita

This Mexican place is authentic as it gets. Their menu is seasonal and definitely cooked by someone’s abuela. This restaurant is BYOB.
Kaminski’s Bar and Grill

A local bar with a lot of personality! We frequent this place. Their burgers are the absolute best. I also recommend their fried mac and cheese bites and their Kaminski cob salad.
Dolsan House Korean BBQ

One of my favorite places in Cherry Hill, their dolsot bowls (rice and meat in a sizzling bowl) is amazing. They offer many Korean specialties including their famous crispy Korean wings. I recommend the honey sesame wings and the LA Kalbi dolsot. This restaurant is BYOB.
A Little Thai Kitchen

A favorite of Alice and Alec for sure. If you like Thai or Asian food, you will be amazed by this place. Their pad Thai, Thai fried rice, and Thai iced tea is top tier. They also have amazing lunch specials which makes it a wonderful place to pop in for lunch.

This is a local chain of bars in south Jersey. They have really good wings and burgers. There is also one in Haddonfield and Mount Laurel.
Femmina Italian Grill

Black Horse Diner

The ultimate NJ experience: the diner. They’re an NJ institution. And the Black horse is the best one of them all in our humble opinions. Alec recommends the bacon egg and cheese on a kaiser roll. I recommend their pancakes and corned beef hash.
Blueplate

This breakfast and lunch place is in the beautiful historic town of Mullica Hill. They have classics as well as fun options (like my personal favorite, cinnamon roll pancakes!). Blueplate also has a small seasonal menu to sample local NJ produce and flavors. This restaurant is BYOB.
Mechanical Brewery

Tucked away next to Cherry Hill's municipal center is this gem of a place. This brewery is the best for folks that aren't crazy about beer. Their beer is great but their selection of sours and hard seltzers is amazing! They also have their own house-made sodas for your designated driver to enjoy.
Kings Road Brewery

A nanobrewery in the heart of a dry town, Kings Road Brewery is the place to be for anyone who is adventurous with their beer. Brews change every two weeks and there is always something for everyone. It is also within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and even wine tasting rooms.
Spellbound Brewery

This brewery offers local craft beers. They have over 20 beers on tap and are open five days a week. Their outdoor seating is nice in the summertime.
Trainwreck Distillery

The first distillery in Mount Holly since prohibition, they are famous in the area for their rum, vodka, gin, and bourbon. Their building is an old train station, and they still have an old locomotive for you to see.
Recklesstown Farm Distillery

This distillery offers craft spirits made from scratch using grain and ingredients grown on their very own working farm. Their tasting room changes their menu of cocktails monthly to match what ingredients are in season.
Double Nickle Brewing

This brewery is easy to get to and has a great outdoor space to enjoy. Their beers are easy to drink and they often have live music.
Sharrott Winery

This winery has it all. They have a full kitchen for you to order flatbreads, cheese trays, and more. They have a diverse selection of wines of all colors and sweetness levels. I would recommend setting up a reservation on their website before you go.
Springdale Farmers Market

Most beautiful in the spring, Springdale is the last working farm in Cherry Hill. Their baked goods are legendary (especially their blueberry crumb) and their farm shop is full of fun trinkets and houseplants.
Downtown Haddonfield
Our neighboring town has a beautiful historic downtown filled with five-star restaurants, quaint boutiques, and gorgeous homes. I highly recommend you walk through it for yourself. Fun fact, the Haddonfield in the Halloween movie franchise was based off of this town!
The Dutch Wagon Amish Market

Open Friday and Saturday only! Famous for their pretzels and desserts, this place is an experience. It is fully run by a church of Amish families from PA. Their food is authentic to the PA Dutch style. I highly recommend their smoked wings, pretzels, and cheesecake.
Aunt Charlotte's Candies

Established in 1920, this adorable candy shop offers the best chocolates in the area. Their selection of chocolate and candy is extensive and is a wonderful place to pick up gifts for anyone you love.
Barnegat Lighthouse
208 Broadway, Barnegat Light, NJ 08006
This lighthouse is historical and beautiful. There is also areas to walk around and enjoy the Jersey shore! The state park is open Monday through Friday but the Lighthouse is only open for tours on the weekends.
Cape May
A bit of a hike down to the southernmost point of our state but Cape May is absolutely beautiful. It is a historical beach town with a walking only shopping district and an amazing brewery (Cape May Brewery, seriously its worth the drive). Walk along the beach, shop, or drink, it’s all worth it! Fun fact, Cape May is more south than Baltimore, but it’s just on a peninsula. You can take a ferry to Delaware or Maryland from here!

Remember how there is no clothing tax in NJ? This is the perfect place to flex it. This outdoor mall offers over 30 stores with outlet prices. It is worth an afternoon to shop around!
Grounds for Sculpture
80 Sculptors Way, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619
Grounds for sculpture is 42 acres of art! Bring your walking shoes and some water. It is chock full of beautiful sculptures from artists across the country (and centuries). They also have a very nice restaurant. As a bonus, it is right around the corner from Princeton which has been voted one of the most beautiful towns in NJ.
Elis Island (& the Statue of Liberty)
Up near NYC, this place is full of history. You can tour the buildings where countless immigrants walked and experience what they felt and faced while passing through this unique place. You can even find my dad’s name on the wall of donors :) You can also visit the Statue of Liberty via the same ferry but isn’t as interesting in my opinion.
Reading Terminal Market – set up in an old tram warehouse, this Philly landmark has tons of shops and places to eat.
Independence Hall – you can go see the Liberty Bell and all sorts of other fun things around the center.
Eastern State Penitentiary – a historic prison established before America was even a country, it is now a historical landmark open for tours. Al Capone was held here. It’s worth a tour!
The Mosholu – A restaurant on a historic boat on the beautiful Penns landing.
Fort Mifflin – a historic military fort that was used from the Revolutionary war until the 70s, it has great self-guided tours and is rumored to be the most haunted fort on the east coast.
Please Touch Museum – perfect for all ages, this museum has plenty to see and feel.
Philadelphia Art Museum – the famous museum where Rocky ran up the steps. A beautiful way to spend an afternoon.
The Franklin Institute – a child friendly museum sure to delight anyone who goes.
Philadelphia Zoo – it has all the animals you’d imagine. One of the oldest zoos in the United States.
Longwood Gardens – an outdoor activity for all seasons. In the warmer months they have beautiful flower displays. In the Fall and Winter, they have Christmas lights and cold gardens to admire.
