A Candypants pool party on the rooftop of the W Hotel might not seem like a typical meet cute location - but it sets the tone for a relationship that's been anything but typical! Back in March 2017, Josh and Alice met when Josh - wearing a SWAT vest and carrying a watergun of vodka - challenged Sarah, Alice's bestie and bridesmaid, to a push-up competition. With Sarah victorious, the group ended the day with drunken burritos and went their separate ways.

It would be the following September when Josh and Alice reconnected over Instagram, often partying at the same places (Mahiki, we still miss you). Josh would then spend the next 3 months coming up with creative ways to ask Alice out. Although hesitant to entertain this charismatic party boy, the pair went on their first date - a hungover breakfast at Reform - on New Year's Day 2018.

Three months later, the pair made it official, and moved in together in that summer, and in the five years that followed have partied their way around Dubai together, ticked off some of the top destinations on their travel bucketlist, and made some incredible friends.

In August 2022, during a trip to Spa for the Belgian Grand Prix, Josh surprised Alice by getting down on one knee one morning before the pair travelled to Dievole Wine Resort, their favourite hotel from the first trip holiday they took together in 2019. And it's here that we get to celebrate our love and toast to forever, with all of you.
