During the pandemic Boston was very strict about house parties and gatherings larger than 20 people. Finally in May of 2021 it was announced that Boston would release it's restrictions about large gatherings.

It was around this time that Alice was trying to meet new people so she befriended a girl named Casey online. Dave met Casey while playing kickball downtown. When Boston finally "opened" for Memorial Day weekend, Casey hosted a party at her apartment and both Dave and Alice attended. After a whole night of talking and drinking they exchanged numbers and here we are today :)
