What time should we arrive?
Please arrive from 3:00pm, for a 3:30pm ceremony.
When shall we RSVP?
Please let us know whether you will be attending by 1 December 2024. Please let us know if there are any dietary requirements at the same time.
Are children invited?
Whilst children are welcome to attend the ceremony, the reception (cocktail hour onwards) is adults only. The ceremony portion of the event is not intended to be longer than an hour.
We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
How do we get there?
You can get from Auckland to Waiheke via Fullers Ferry, or Sealink (car-ferry). Ferrys from Auckland to Waiheke run every thirty minutes.
If there is enough demand, we will book a shuttle bus from the Ferry Terminal at Waiheke to whisk you to our venue.
Please let us know whether you require transportation from the Waiheke Ferry Terminal to Tangaroa Estate.
How far is Tangaroa Estate from the Waiheke Ferry Terminal?
Tangaroa Estate is an approximately 7 minute drive from the Ferry Terminal, or 3.5 kilometres.
How do we get home?
If there is enough demand for transportation from Tangaroa Estate to Waiheke Ferry Terminal, we will be organising one large trip from the venue back to the Ferry Terminal in time for the last ferry of the night.
Please let us know whether you require transportation from the venue to the ferry building in time for the last ferry.
Where can we stay?
For those of you visiting out of town, you may wish to stay on the island for ease (there are also beautiful vineyards to explore!). If you choose to stay on the Island for the wedding, you may want to book in advance as March is considered 'peak' season.
Of course, the ferry will be running regularly and if you wish to return home at any stage of the night- feel free to Irish goodbye us and head home whenever!
Will there be an after function on Sunday?
We will both likely be lounging around on Sunday at Tangaroa, and would love to see you if you are hanging around the island. More information around this will be announced closer to the time (or on the wedding day).
Dietary requirements?
Our caterers are wonderful and will make their best efforts to ensure that you are fed something delicious, so if there are any allergies or intolerances please let us know, and our caterers will do their best to cater to these.
Is there parking available?
There is a long driveway leading up to the house. Any taxis can come up to this area for drop offs, but this needs to remain clear for larger transportation (such as the bus). If you are driving, please park on the road and walk up to the venue.
Can we take photos during the wedding?
Yes, absolutely! Feel free to take whatever snaps you want, whenever you want.
We simply ask that you do not share any images on social media until the Bride and Groom (us) have announced our marriage first/posted on social media.
What is the dress code?
We want you to be comfortable. Formal attire is preferred, black tie optional, but ultimately, wear what you feel comfortable in and enjoy yourselves!
Can I bring a plus one?
Our celebration is strictly RSVP only (for our nearest and dearest- which is you!).
How can I RSVP?
You can RSVP however you would like, whether it be on this wedding website, in person, via text, email, or messenger. As long as you let us know whether you can come before the deadline of 1 December, we are A-okay!
I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?
Still have questions? No worries- you can get in touch with us best by email at strangburnswedding@gmail.com
