Our love story began back in 2016. Alicea had recently graduated from Arizona State and moved back home to California. Spencer was getting ready to start his second year at McGeorge Law School. Having been following each other on Instagram for some time now, Spencer decided to slide into Alicea’s DM's and give her his phone number. We had a couple of mutual friends from High School, but had never actually met. After a couple days of texting each other we finally made plans to meet each other at a bar in downtown Sacramento with some friends. That night we talked the entire time, we danced and even ended the night with our first kiss! The rest of that summer we spent a lot of time together, hanging out and enjoying ourselves. Fast forward to December of that year when we finally said "I love you" and made the relationship officially official. And after 6.5 years, an apartment and getting a dog together, Spencer finally got down on one knee and asked Alicea to marry him in Monterey, CA on April 1st, 2023. And spoiler alert, she said yes! This modern day romance has been growing long and slow, but it has been the most special love we've ever known. We cannot wait to celebrate our happily ever after with our closest friends and family who have been by our side from the beginning!
