Our Wedding

Who would have thought that a dating app would lead to all of this?!&nbsp; We met on one of those ever famous dating apps on our phones in late 2017. I was new to the area (well 6 months new, but I was working my life away so I still knew nothing about the place) and decided to go on my first date in town. I told Myranda (now one of our bridesmaids!) that I was meeting someone at Pints and if I didn’t respond then she needed to send someone to save me! Luckily, the guy in the pictures actually showed up to the bar that night, late (little did I know that this would be his biggest flaw!), but at least he was cute!&nbsp; In February 2021, in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, Denis decided it was the perfect time to propose to his healthcare worker girlfriend! We’d had a rough 2020 which included a cancelled trip to Japan, no visits from my family or friends due to lock down, a derecho wind storm that took out our power for just short of a week, and mandatory pay cuts that taught us a whole lot about living minimally. Working in cahoots with my coworkers, Denis proposed during our Friday morning meeting with our work family! It was the perfect crew to love on us as they’ve seen us from day one and have been our biggest cheerleaders in life these last 4 years. They threw us an engagement party that night which was our first sense of normalcy in over a year!&nbsp;

Our Story 

This is where Denis and I will be staying. We plan to keep the party going after the reception finishes and will proceed to the Casino bars! Please feel free to join us for more time together after the official wedding festivities are over! In order to book, please call the casino and let them know it is for the Abbott/Susac Wedding Block. We have rooms blocked for Friday and Saturday night. Check in is at 3 pm. If you would like to check in earlier, please tell them when you book.

We have arranged for transportation to and from our hotel room blocks to allow you to safely enjoy some adult beverages and not have to drive! You are more than welcome to drive to the wedding and reception if you would like! The venue has plenty of parking to accommodate all guests! If you end up driving to the venue and having too much to drink, there is always the option to take the shuttle to your hotel and Uber back to your car in the morning! If you plan to enjoy a few more than a few adult beverages, we have hired a company to pick you up prior to the wedding and take you back to the hotel after! The first shuttle will begin at 3pm leaving from Bally’s to the venue! It is about a 20 minute drive from the hotel to the venue. The wedding is slated to begin at around 430! After the first load of people is picked up at Bally’s, the next pick up will be at The Holiday Inn. There will be 2 pick ups for each location with the final pick up being at 4pm! For rides back to your hotel, the shuttle will remain at the venue and will be available to take you back to your hotel at any time you’d like to return. Once return trips start, it will just be a revolving trip to both hotels. Please be patient with the driver as he will be making each trip as quickly and safely as possible! As our day gets closer, we will nail down a more detailed schedule for pickups to come to the wedding!
