Our Wedding

Alicia and Ross met in middle school when the schools in Mifflin County combined. Throughout the years, they shared many classes. They started dating in the eighth grade because, in Algebra, they were assigned seats alphabetically, so Berryman and Cottrill were next to each other. Ross spent most of that class getting in trouble for looking at Alicia instead of the board. Not liking the class's attention on her, this led Alicia to break up with him and tell him he needed to mature. The following year, Alicia and Ross had Geometry together and another teacher that assigned seating alphabetically. Ross enlisted the help of Alicia's best friend, Rylie, to help get her back and eventually, he did just that. They ended up dating for most of their freshman year, and once again, Ross had to have his seat moved in a class (band, this time) after the teacher repeatedly would hear Ross’s voice over the music. They would once again break up, because boys never learn - no need to worry, though, because as the saying goes, “The third time is the charm.” Fast forward to junior year of high school, and, you guessed it, Ross and Alicia were assigned seats next to each other in math class. Alicia was set on focusing on school and not dating anyone, but Ross had not lost interest in Alicia and he was persistent. He waited until the first day of summer vacation, June 1st, to ask her out, and she said yes. The third time really was the charm. One year later, on June 1, 2018, they sat next to each other at their high school graduation and haven’t left each others’ sides since. Alicia and Ross continued dating throughout college while at Penn State together and supported each other through their many accomplishments and challenges. Following college, they did long distance for one year while Alicia got her Masters in Accounting at Penn State and Ross started medical school at Penn State Hershey. Today, Alicia and Ross live together in Hershey while Ross continues his medical degree, and Alicia has her first job as an associate accountant with a firm in nearby Camp Hill. They have also added to their family with their first puppy, Millie, a sweet Miniature Bernedoodle. They cannot wait to say “I do” on June 1st, which will be their seven-year anniversary.

Katie and I met during undergrad at Penn State and then were roommates for a year while getting our Master's degrees and taking the CPA exams. That year made us inseparable and now I couldn't imagine not having her as one of my best friends.

Sunny and I became fast friends when her boyfriend and Ross were college roommates. We spent lots of weekends at the boys' house and never missed a Penn State football game. Even though we live a state apart now, every time we meet up it's like no time has passed.

Our wedding venue, Juniata Valley Winery, hosts Friday Night Music events. If you are already in town for our wedding on Friday, May 31st, we would love for you to come hang out with us, see the venue, and enjoy some live music. There will be food, beer, wine, and wine slushies to purchase starting at 5 pm, and the live music is from 7-10 pm. The wedding rehearsal dinner will also be taking place on the premises, so the rehearsal party will join you once it concludes. There is a $5 cover charge to enter, as this is a public winery event and not just for our wedding guests. The event is outdoors, so dress for the weather, and bring a lawn chair if able. Children are welcome. No outside alcohol is permitted. We hope to see you there!
