Our Wedding

Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;met&nbsp;one&nbsp;warm&nbsp;summer&nbsp;evening&nbsp;in&nbsp;August&nbsp;of&nbsp;2012.&nbsp;They&nbsp;were&nbsp;introduced&nbsp;to&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;by&nbsp;a&nbsp;mutual&nbsp;friend&nbsp;who&nbsp;is&nbsp;now,&nbsp;fittingly,&nbsp;Josh's&nbsp;best&nbsp;man.&nbsp;On&nbsp;that&nbsp;night,&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;Marfin&nbsp;residence,&nbsp;after&nbsp;being&nbsp;invited&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;mutual&nbsp;friend,&nbsp;to&nbsp;play&nbsp;midnight&nbsp;basketball&nbsp;and&nbsp;"hang&nbsp;out".&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;enjoyed&nbsp;the&nbsp;company&nbsp;of&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;so&nbsp;much,&nbsp;that&nbsp;time&nbsp;flew&nbsp;by&nbsp;and&nbsp;before&nbsp;they&nbsp;knew&nbsp;it,&nbsp;morning&nbsp;was&nbsp;upon&nbsp;them.&nbsp;At&nbsp;around&nbsp;5am,&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;decided&nbsp;that&nbsp;she&nbsp;needed&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;coffee&nbsp;before&nbsp;work&nbsp;and&nbsp;asked&nbsp;if&nbsp;anybody&nbsp;would&nbsp;want&nbsp;to&nbsp;accompany&nbsp;her.&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;accepted&nbsp;the&nbsp;invitation.&nbsp;After&nbsp;getting&nbsp;coffee,&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;dropped&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;back&nbsp;off,&nbsp;but&nbsp;before&nbsp;departing,&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;asked&nbsp;for&nbsp;Alicia's&nbsp;number.&nbsp;The&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;summer&nbsp;was&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;many&nbsp;adventures&nbsp;to&nbsp;new&nbsp;places&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;happiness.&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;haven't&nbsp;stopped&nbsp;"hanging&nbsp;out"&nbsp;and&nbsp;making&nbsp;memories&nbsp;since&nbsp;that&nbsp;day&nbsp;in&nbsp;August.&nbsp;

The Beginning

Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;have&nbsp;shared&nbsp;many&nbsp;happy&nbsp;memories&nbsp;and&nbsp;new&nbsp;experiences&nbsp;throughout&nbsp;their&nbsp;7&nbsp;years&nbsp;together&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple.&nbsp;Some&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;memories&nbsp;include&nbsp;time&nbsp;spent&nbsp;making&nbsp;and&nbsp;drinking&nbsp;wine,&nbsp;wood-working,&nbsp;camping,&nbsp;fishing,&nbsp;building&nbsp;Lego&nbsp;sets,&nbsp;eating&nbsp;at&nbsp;new&nbsp;places,&nbsp;and&nbsp;traveling&nbsp;to&nbsp;California&nbsp;and&nbsp;Las&nbsp;Vegas&nbsp;annually.&nbsp; Both&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;attended&nbsp;Penn&nbsp;State&nbsp;New&nbsp;Kensington&nbsp;for&nbsp;their&nbsp;undergraduate&nbsp;degrees&nbsp;(Josh&nbsp;finished&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;main&nbsp;campus).&nbsp;&nbsp;In&nbsp;May&nbsp;of&nbsp;2017,&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;graduated&nbsp;with&nbsp;her&nbsp;Bachelor's&nbsp;degree&nbsp;in&nbsp;Psychology&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;went&nbsp;on&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;her&nbsp;MBA,&nbsp;which&nbsp;she&nbsp;received&nbsp;in&nbsp;December&nbsp;of&nbsp;2018.&nbsp;In&nbsp;January&nbsp;of&nbsp;2019,&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;became&nbsp;a&nbsp;training&nbsp;manager&nbsp;at&nbsp;AMA&nbsp;Support&nbsp;Services.&nbsp;&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;graduated&nbsp;with&nbsp;his&nbsp;Bachelor's&nbsp;degree&nbsp;in&nbsp;Earth&nbsp;Science&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;minor&nbsp;in&nbsp;Geoscience&nbsp;in&nbsp;December&nbsp;of&nbsp;2017&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;obtained&nbsp;a&nbsp;job&nbsp;with&nbsp;Woodard&nbsp;and&nbsp;Curran&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;scientist. &nbsp;In&nbsp;April&nbsp;of&nbsp;2018&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;purchased&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;home,&nbsp;which&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;foreclosure&nbsp;in&nbsp;Lower&nbsp;Burrell.&nbsp;They have&nbsp;enjoyed&nbsp;spending&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;time&nbsp;giving&nbsp;their&nbsp;home&nbsp;the&nbsp;love&nbsp;it&nbsp;needs&nbsp;and&nbsp;making&nbsp;it&nbsp;their&nbsp;own.&nbsp;In&nbsp;May&nbsp;of&nbsp;2018,&nbsp;they&nbsp;adopted&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;addition&nbsp;to&nbsp;their&nbsp;new&nbsp;home,&nbsp;Suki.&nbsp;In&nbsp;July&nbsp;of&nbsp;2018,&nbsp;despite&nbsp;Josh's&nbsp;feelings&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;home&nbsp;being&nbsp;a&nbsp;"2&nbsp;cat&nbsp;capacity,"&nbsp;they&nbsp;adopted&nbsp;Harley&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bops&nbsp;because&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;did&nbsp;not&nbsp;have&nbsp;the&nbsp;heart&nbsp;to&nbsp;separate&nbsp;them.&nbsp;So&nbsp;now&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;share&nbsp;their&nbsp;"2&nbsp;cat"&nbsp;home&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;three&nbsp;adorable&nbsp;kitties.

The years in between

Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;got&nbsp;engaged&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Reynold's&nbsp;Mansion&nbsp;in&nbsp;Bellefonte,&nbsp;PA&nbsp;on&nbsp;March&nbsp;2,&nbsp;2019.&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;had&nbsp;planned&nbsp;a&nbsp;trip&nbsp;(which&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;instantly&nbsp;thought&nbsp;was&nbsp;suspicious)&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;Reynold's&nbsp;Mansion,&nbsp;which&nbsp;was&nbsp;an&nbsp;adorable&nbsp;bed&nbsp;and&nbsp;breakfast.&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;spent&nbsp;the&nbsp;weekend&nbsp;visiting&nbsp;their&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;wineries,&nbsp;breweries,&nbsp;and&nbsp;distilleries&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;area&nbsp;and&nbsp;enjoyed&nbsp;wonderful&nbsp;food.&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;kept&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;waiting&nbsp;through&nbsp;most&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;trip&nbsp;and&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;began&nbsp;to&nbsp;doubt&nbsp;her&nbsp;initial&nbsp;suspicions.&nbsp;Finally,&nbsp;on&nbsp;Saturday&nbsp;night&nbsp;just&nbsp;when&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;had&nbsp;given&nbsp;up&nbsp;hope&nbsp;that&nbsp;"this&nbsp;was&nbsp;it,"&nbsp;they&nbsp;had&nbsp;come&nbsp;back&nbsp;from&nbsp;dinner&nbsp;and&nbsp;went&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;their&nbsp;room&nbsp;to&nbsp;find&nbsp;a&nbsp;heart-shaped&nbsp;box&nbsp;of&nbsp;chocolates&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;bottle&nbsp;of&nbsp;champagne.&nbsp;Josh&nbsp;got&nbsp;down&nbsp;on&nbsp;one&nbsp;knee&nbsp;and&nbsp;asked&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;to&nbsp;marry&nbsp;him.&nbsp;After&nbsp;many&nbsp;happy&nbsp;tears,&nbsp;Alicia&nbsp;finally&nbsp;remembered&nbsp;to&nbsp;say&nbsp;"yes"!&nbsp;
