Story Time... 

First, a little about Craig...

Craig was born in Stamford, Connecticut in September 1984 to Cathy and Blair as an only child. He spent his childhood and early years there, attending public schools in Stamford and going to Stamford High School. He went on to study Finance at the University of Connecticut making friends there and becoming a massive UConn basketball fan. After graduating, Craig began his professional journey in finance and remained in Connecticut (living in Stamford, Fairfield, and eventually Norwalk) until December 2021, when he made a bold leap and relocated to Tampa, Florida (thank god for remote work!). What he didn’t know at the time was that this move would turn out to be the best decision of his life.

Now, about Alicia...

Alicia (also known as Lizy/Ali) was born in Caracas, Venezuela in July 1991, to Cora and Cesar - little sister to Gabriel. Alicia grew up in Caracas where some of her family still lives at. In 2010, she made the decision to move to USA, where she first lived a few months with her aunt Alicia, uncle Harry, and little cousin Adri in South Carolina; later making the move to Boston where she attended The New England Institute of Art for her B.S. in Advertising. After graduation, Ali moved temporarily to Westfield with the Nyarady family until she was able to get a marketing job in Boston. After returning to Boston and starting a new "working" life, Alicia replied to a Craigslist add looking for a roommate... that led her to the start of great new friendships with roommates Kate and Lauren, and eventually forming part of the "Southie" group of friends with Devyn, Kaity, Kelsey, Anna, and Alexa, later evolving into a bigger group of awesome friends. By the end of 2020, Ali decided to move to the sunshine state of Florida, where she could enjoy lots of sunny beach days; what she didn't know at the time, was that this move would turn out to be the best decision of her life.

Alicia & Craig's story

While most would describe online dating as difficult (or downright dreadful), for Ali and Craig it worked like a charm. After meeting through one of the apps, their first date went so well that they found themselves messaging the very next day, wondering what the other was up to. True to form — both being direct and no-nonsense — they decided to meet again for tapas and a night of dancing. From that point on, the connection was undeniable, and a meaningful bond began to take shape. Between cooking elaborate dinners, trying new restaurants, enjoying the beach and traveling, their story evolved into what we get to witness today.

We've worked with Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres All-Inclusive Adults-Only Resort for a special rate. The discount can be applied from April 28th through May 5th, 2026 for a minimum of three nights. It is required to be booked through their website and it is not recommended to use third party websites or travel agents. Please make sure to reserve your room as soon as possible. While we secured discounts, it's not a room block and rooms will be subject to availability. Room reservations do not require payment (payment will be due 30 days before your arrival date) so please, reserve as soon as possible to guarantee a room! Room code rates include your stay for a minimum of three up to seven nights, all food and drinks, and roundtrip airport transfer. - Please note there are different codes depending on the country you are traveling from.

For those staying at the Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres for at least 3 nights, there will be complementary airport transportation per room. To book your complementary airport transportation, please contact the resort with your flight information. — If you wish to arrange other transportation for your trip, we've used USA Transfers in the past. For local transporation, Uber is also available.
