Danny and Alicia met in 2015 at a philanthropy event during their time together at the University of Missouri. What started as a friendship quickly grew into something more when they started dating in 2016.

Their relationship was put to the test with long-distance while they pursued their post-grad lives in graduate school and beyond. They moved in together during the pandemic and have since made a home in Chicago with their beloved pup, Captain.

In April 2024 Danny gave Alicia the ultimate surprise by proposing at a spot they frequent together in Lincoln Park, near their home. Danny had been trying to plan the perfect proposal and despite his best efforts, Alicia had insisted on going for a run the morning of the proposal. The moment was intimate and unexpected, just like he had hoped.

Now, they're excited to start the next chapter of their lives together, surrounded by the people they love most.
