FAQ

What is the dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends get fancy with us. We ask that all guest are in formal attire. No Jeans please.

Are children allowed?

Although we love your children, we are only able to accommodate the children in our wedding party.

What are the current covid-19 restrictions?

Currently, we have been informed by our Church and venue that The guidelines for COVID include facial masks if not fully vaccinated individuals as well as hand sanitizing stations which will be available for all at the Avalon. Also, we ask that if you are feeling unwell the day of the wedding to be please stay home. Thank You!

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same place?

No, the ceremony will be at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville at 36 N Ellsworth St, Naperville IL 60540 at 230pm and the reception will follow shortly after at the Avalon Banquets at 6pm at 1905 Higgins Rd, Elk Grove Village IL 60007

Are both the reception and the ceremony venue be wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely!

What about special diet restrictions?

Will transportation be provide from the Avalon to the Holiday Inn hotel?

Yes, there is a shuttle that runs from the Avalon to the Holiday Inn.

Can I take pictures and create posts on social media?

While it is asked that guests don't use their phones during the ceremony, we would very much enjoy seeing photos be posted under #shumwaytomytnik for the reception!

Will the ceremony and reception be inside?

Yes, both the ceremony and reception are indoors.

Can I bring a plus one?

We addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited to our wedding invitation.

Are there any colors I shouldnt wear?

We kindly ask that you do not wear colors traditionally reserved for the bride — whites, ivories, and blushes, Other than that, please wear whatever colors you would like!

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
