Michael and Alicia were introduced by Michael's boss's wife, Casey, and Alicia's sister (and Casey's co-worker), Autumn on a Sunday night in July of 2024. They connected over Instagram messages the next day. Their first "meeting" (as Michael called it) was at Bricktops in Nashville after work the following Thursday, where they talked for 4 hours and were the last ones to leave after the restaurant closed. Their first official "date" was that Saturday night at the Nashville Sounds game.

Michael proposed on November 30, 2024 at the Union Station Hotel in downtown Nashville. Despite both facing incredible heartbreak in their respective first marriages, Michael and Alicia are so excited to get this second chance and to have found someone they want to spend their lives with!
