The most common question: How did we meet? Our answer: online! We matched with each other and started chatting February 25, 2021. During this time, Josh was a First Class Midshipman nearing graduation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY, while I was substitute teaching in Bedford, OH.

So the beginning of our relationship started long distance! We were able to meet in person for the first time on April 9, 2021 and, needless to say, the rest is history. Since meeting, we've embarked on so many adventures! We had fun visiting Orlando, FL while exploring theme parks like Universal Studios and Disney World, seen the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest in Virginia, and even embarked on our very first Disney Cruise for 2023 New Years!

During my Spring Break on March 27, 2023, Josh proposed to me in front of the famous bean at Millennium Park in Chicago, IL. It was a momentous occasion, so much so it took me an entire minute to realize he was proposing to me, and I needed to give a response. So the first thought was “What?” then I answered yes! Needless to say, Josh’s knees were sore the next day. And here we are today, excited to be planning our wedding, and looking forward to building a new life together! God brought us together for a reason and we couldn't be more thankful.
