Our Wedding

Jose and Alina met in high school during their entrepreneurship class in 2013. It was technically a senior level class, but as a sophomore, Alina had to take it as a part of her schedule change. She walked into class right before the bell and sat in the only seat open in the class... in front of Jose and his friend Jamarr. Jose and Jamarr were quoting lines from Kevin Hart's "Laugh at My Pain" comedy show, and Alina chimed in knowing some of the punch lines. Over the following months they started talking on Facebook messenger because Alina didn't have a cellphone. During spring break of that year Jose asked Alina to be his girlfriend and the rest is history (10+ years to be exact). On July 4, 2022 Jose proposed to Alina at one of their favorite local pizza restaurants in front of friends and family.... and Alina said "Yes"!

Alina and McKenna went to high school together, but didn't formally meet until Alina got her first job at the local DQ in 2015.  Not only did McKenna always have her makeup on point, but she always knew how to make work fun. Since that day they have been close friends! Fun fact- McKenna will be getting married in October of 2024 to her fiancé Ryan!

Kari came into Alina's life around 2013 when she started dating her brother Jaciel. They both hit it off right away making silly tv show references and sharing their love of food... mainly Ramen. Kari is definitely a sister from another mister, and always there to lend a helping hand or just to listen.  When Kari and Alina get together, shenanigans are sure to follow!

Sommer and Alina went to high school together but didn't meet until she joined the DQ squad in 2015. Sommer is is "Ray" of sunshine to everyone she meets. She also deeply cares for the wellbeing of everyone and her animals. Sommer is also very hilarious with a contagious laugh. She is also the dancer of the group, always ready to throw it back!

Dalilah and Alina are first cousins and have always vibed together. Even though they are a few years apart they have always found ways to have fun and laugh. Growing up they would spend parts of their summers together in Chicago helping their Abuela Rosa. Dalilah is always ready to go on a mission and have a good time. She is a city girl with a great sense of style.

Demi and Alina met in college freshmen year during volleyball season. It wasn't until after the season ended that they started hanging out and would do movie nights in each others dorms. Demi introduced Alina to the famous movie "The Notebook". After freshmen year they were roommates until senior year. Demi is passionate about everything she does and loves a good time!

Demi Shetler

Hannah and Alina met in college during basketball season. After, they became roommates for two years.  Hannah is a card and board game fanatic. You can count on her to bring them and teach everyone about them. Hannah is very caring and always willing to listen. Hannah shares a love for donuts, hence why you may hear her and Alina say DON DON!

Alina met Kaitlin during their freshmen year of college volleyball, and were often pepper partners during warmups!  Alina always admired Kaitlin's sincere and sweet personality. They were roommates for two years and bonded over their passion for education and assignments for class... mainly Kaitlin helping Alina by reading her papers. Kaitlin teaches in China during the school year, where she lives with her husband Xin!

Andrew is Jose's not so little brother. Growing up you would always see them together. Whether it was playing catch or shooting hoops. Despite their different personalities they share special bond.

Andrew Silva

Jose met Jamarr during freshmen year after witnessing their first high school fight. They started talking and found out they had common interests like video games and basketball. Ever since they have been the greatest of friends. Jamarr was also there as Jose's wingman when Alina and Jose met.

Jamarr Benett

Joe and Jose met senior year through mutual friends. They ended up having class together, clicked, and have been friends ever since. To this day they play video games together regularly and share a common interest in anime. Joe also has a fancy sense of style, sporting his Versace glasses on special occasions.

Joe Velasco

Jose and Jordan didn't along at first, but after living together their sophomore year of college they found a common love for the hit TV show "Friday Night Lights", and have been friends ever since. They played basketball together and spent many nights staying late play 2K. 

Jordan Whitcomb

James and Jose met their freshmen year playing college basketball together. They became not just close friends but lifting buddies.  Jose could always count on James to listen and give good advice.

"My Captain oh Captain"! Jose met Bigej during their freshmen year of playing college basketball. No matter when or where, Jose could sit down and have a good chat with Bigej about anything.  Since college they both have spent some time playing video games and supporting each other Twitch channels. Bigej has also been a big influence to Jose to start golfing!

Garrett Bigej

Jose met Tyler freshmen year during their college basketball season.  Since Tyler lived near Jose, he would give Jose a ride home during holiday breaks. Tyler is a great guy and serves in the Air Force and an E6 Technical Sergeant.
