Do I have to attend all the events?

No, you do not have to attend all the events. Please feel free to RSVP to only the events you wish to attend. We understand that everyone's schedule is different, and we want you to enjoy the celebrations that work best for you.

Which airport should I fly in to?

We recommend arriving at Maceió Airport (airport code is MCZ), the capital of the state of Alagoas. From Maceió, São Miguel dos Milagres is approximately a 1.5-hour drive north.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the airport?

Do I need a passport?

YES! Remember that your passport MUST be valid for a minimum of 6 months from your travel date.

Do I need a visa?

For US citizens, YES! Don't worry, your visa is easy to obtain!! You will need to access the following link https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/,fill out the form, add a few documents, and pay the $80 fee and it's valid for 10 years. Aline is more than happy to help with visa arrangements. We kindly ask our guests who require a visa to travel to Brazil to consider applying for their visa at least three months prior to our wedding date. This will allow ample time for processing and receipt of your visa, ensuring that all travel plans are in place well ahead of time.

Do I need a travel insurance?

Travel insurance is not a mandatory requirement for US citizens traveling to Brazil, but it is highly recommended.

Do I need any specific vaccinations prior to travel?

We strongly advise all guests to consult with a healthcare provider to receive personalized recommendations regarding vaccinations for their trip to Brazil. That being said, we are not aware of any required vaccinations for travel to Brazil.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that all guests refrain from taking photos/videos DURING the ceremony to ensure it remains an unplugged and intimate experience. However, you are more than welcome to take as many photos as you’d like AFTER the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

What is the local currency and which credit cards are accepted?

Most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted in Brazil, but we recommend contacting your credit card company beforehand. The local currency is Reais R$ (pronounced "hey-eyes").

What is the weather like this time of the year?

In late April, São Miguel dos Milagres typically experiences warm and tropical weather. The average temperatures range from 24°C (75°F) at night to 30°C (86°F) during the day. However, April is also part of the region's rainy season, so visitors can expect occasional rain showers and higher humidity.
