The Happy Couple
How They Met
John and Alisa met 6 years ago and began slowly dating for the first few months. As time went by, they started planning weekend outings together, like camping and hiking trips, or going to concerts and fun restaurants, which ultimately lead to them spending all of their free time together as they fell more and more in love.
John was always big into the outdoors, while Alisa was not that familiar, but she quickly learned to love and enjoy every moment of it as they planned their weekends together through all of the seasons. Their first Christmas together was spent camping in the snow at Mount Shasta! Alisa still ranks their Christmas dinner of campfire sausage over sourdough toast with a "snowball au jus" as one of her favorite meals.
Over the years their life became increasingly adventurous, from road trips to Glacier National Park in Montana to weekend trips backpacking all over the Northern California wilderness.
John and Alisa also love the hustle and bustle of city life, including vacations to New York, Denver, Boston, San Francisco, or to sushi dinners and any place that has a delicious brunch - their favorite meal.
John and Alisa share a home in Citrus Heights with their dog, Larry, and cat, Sophie, and plan to purchase a home together in Sacramento in 2026.

Qualities I admire in John are his love for family and tradition. I love how important it is for him to maintain happy, healthy, loving relationships with those he loves most, and how secure and adored he makes me feel to know he shares this same desire towards me. I love how he enjoys being a part of my Italian family, spending weekends playing cards with my parents, family dinners, holidays, and vacations together.
John loves the togetherness of both our families which is also so important to me as I love his family equally as much.
John is so easy to love. He makes me laugh, he is who I want to share my day with, he is so intelligent and has amazing insight on things I don't always see, he is the person I want to make smile, the person I want to take care of, and the person who I want to wake up with every morning for the rest of my life.
John's Favorite Qualities About Alisa
Qualities I admire in Alisa are how hard working she is in life and for the ones she loves so dearly. She shares my love for family togetherness, but also for our time together alone in the woods being one with nature.
I find Alisa's bleeding heart for animals endearing, as we both share a great desire to spoil the animals in our life. Alisa laughs at my dumb Dad jokes and is always patient with me through all of the obstacles of life.
Alisa is so beautiful and I tell her every day when I wake up, when I come home, and before I go to sleep.
The Future of John and Alisa
John and Alisa typically spend Sunday mornings catching up with their favorite YouTube stories of folks in the world living off the grid, as they imagine their life in the years to come. They dream someday (after retirement) they will have a cabin in the woods (or maybe Italy) where John can spend his days chopping wood and restoring cabins while Alisa can get back to being the artist she once was, drawing animals.

John and Alisa are a mix of rustic and chic, like their wedding.
While they love spending time adventuring the outdoors, they also have a great passion for fine dining and craft cocktails. They love to prioritize a delicious drink on the weekend together, where they often spend hours talking and laughing about anything.
They hope to capture the juxtaposition of their lives throughout their wedding day, with nods to the wilderness and to the joys of a delicious cocktail, so their families and friends can share the same happiness that is brought to them in an evening of celebrating the beauty of love and marriage together.
