Four years later, they had fallen in love with each other and started talking about forever. Ryan planned the perfect four year anniversary surprise.... A shiny diamond ring with Alisa's name on it!

Ryan got a few of their closest friends together for a round of bowling. Following bowling, the group went to dinner at Alisa's favorite Italian restaurant, Milano's. Both the couple's parents and brothers joined them, along with a few more close friends. We'd placed our orders, received our salads and bread sticks, when Ryan decided it was time to do a gift exchange.

Alisa was nervous and slightly confused because why would you need to gift exchange for anniversaries in front of so many people (there were about 15 of us total at dinner). However, she went along with it and let him open his gift first. A simple canvas of one of his favorite sports teams. Now the big moment was happening.

Ryan stood up at the head of the table and read a sweet letter he'd written to Alisa. Then a giant gift bag was placed in front of Alisa and she stood up to open it. Under endless layers of paper, she found a little red box with a smaller black box inside with a note that read "Sorry no gift here. The real gift is behind you!" Alisa turned around to see Ryan on one knee with a ring stretched out towards her.

"Alisa Ann Cartwright, will you do me the honor in becoming my wife?" Ryan asked.

Of course, she said yes [or else you wouldn't be reading this right now ;)]!

Now the couple looks forward to saying "I do" and beginning forever together, wherever the Lord takes them!
