In the summer of 2019, two educators met to share stories and vent about difficult students. They talked... and talked... and talked... and eventually fell in love!
Both were new to the pacific northwest; one settled in Tacoma and the other in Silverdale. However, they did not mind commuting almost an hour to see each other. The adventures they planned for the weekends all made it worth it.
That is until March, 2020...
Fortunately, the pandemic struck right at the time they decided to move in together! What is better than to be quarantined for an indeterminate time with the love of your life?
The answer to that turned out to be... cats!
Zack and Alisa adopted two kittens in April 2020 and the covid-family felt complete! From then on, their bonds grew stronger as they taught remotely, built a greenhouse and explored a new home in Port Orchard.
4 years later, they are getting married, approximately 10 miles from where they first met!
