Our Wedding

It all started back in middle school, when we met through mutual friends and became instant buddies. We weren’t each other’s soulmates yet—more like, “Hey, you’re cool,” and boom, we became best friends in high school.&nbsp; As life does, it took us in different directions after high school, and we slowly lost touch. But in 2019, we reconnected—and it felt like no time had passed. Just two slightly more mature versions of ourselves, picking up where we left off. Then came July 20, 2020. After a whole year of flirting, nervous energy, and Kaycee trying to play it cool, he finally asked Alisa to be his girlfriend… by asking her to be his buttered chicken. Yes, that’s real. Just know it’s our favorite inside joke, and somehow, it worked. She said yes. Best friends officially turned into something more. From that moment on, things got real—in the best way. On August 23rd, 2020, we decided to move in together in an apartment. In that apartment we spent living our lives to the fullest, never saying no to any trips or activities , all while supporting each other to graduate college.&nbsp; On September 3, 2021, we bought our first house together and suddenly, adulting was real. But instead of panicking, we threw house parties, hosted family dinners, and made it the cozy, chaotic, happy home we always dreamed of. Our love has grown through travel, trying new restaurants, and finding joy in life’s little adventures. Then came March 21, 2024—the day we adopted Amiri, our baby corgi. Cute, fluffy, dramatic—and fully in charge. Raising a puppy tested our patience (and our carpet), but also proved we make an awesome team. Finally, on July 5, 2025, during what Alisa thought was just a nice family photo shoot, Kaycee dropped to one knee and popped the question. No buttered chicken this time—just a ring and some very happy tears. We are so excited to share our big day with the people who’ve loved and supported us from the beginning.
