From Her Side-

After a man matched her on every dating app in a matter of minutes she decided to give him a shot. Little did she know she found a man that loves family and his dogs just as much as she does and complimented her so well. She decided to take him up on having their very first date on Easter, after for both of us what was a long weekend with friends at one of our favorite places in the heights. After many dates they realized they were completely different from one another in more ways than one; mind you I hate dishes and despise laundry but may be the handiest lady around that will can fix pretty much anything and Mike was the perfect compliment to this and supportive of all of my “projects”. Truly the ying to my yang. Never mind our contrasting personalities, we still had a ton in common we were finding out while dating too. With our common interests in being outside, with our dogs, cooking, fitness, cigars, and can’t forget martinis we hit it off pretty quickly and find these are part of some of our core memories and hobbies still today. Our relationship is ever evolving and growing and with this comes the community we surround ourselves with which is all of you reading this! Most of you we found and have come close with because of one of our jobs or hobbies and we now consider all of you family. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for all of you and we can’t wait to have you all here to celebrate it with us. With so many more memories to come we cannot wait to become #OfficiallyWeiner.

From His Side-

I’ll never forget the day I met Alisandra-it was a sleepy Easter after a very long night. We’d previously matched on three different dating apps in a matter of minutes. Clearly, I needed to meet this woman.

I got myself ready for (another) first date, thinking this would be no different than any other. As I pulled up in my undersized Acura sedan, I noticed a girl sitting in a very LARGE pickup truck. I’ll never forget the image of the tall blonde getting out of that truck-truly love at first sight.

As we got to know each other, the commonalities and interests became apparent (dogs, the gym, the city of Tampa and our families) as did our differences. As time went on, we found those differences to provide balance, and strength.

I don’t want to say that I’d given up on finding love, but the truth is, I was close. I came home from a business trip one day last fall, to find a home cooked meal and Ali -waiting to tell me about an orange watch she’d found that I “could wear on work trips to match company colors.” In that moment I thought to myself, what else does a man need? A loving woman and a warm house full of dogs to come home to at the end of a hard day. A week later, we were engaged and in a plane to Chicago for a weekend of baseball, hot dogs and pizza.

I’m grateful for each of you that will celebrate with us, we wouldn’t be here without your love, friendship and support. We’re looking forward to a party and what’s sure to be some bad karaoke.
