The Smithmore Castle is a 121 acre private mountain estate located on top of English Knob in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. The 12,000 square foot mansion has 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. It includes a 10 seat theater with an 80" screen, a 'starlight' bar, Tuscan themed lounge, commercial kitchen and a main dining room that accommodates seating for 20 with a fireplace and ceiling frescos. It also features a wine cellar, courtyard with fountain, huge open deck over the portico, giant great room with marble floors, three story stone fireplace and an 8' Swarovski crystal chandelier. The two main bedrooms connect to the four story towers, each of which contain its own private heated whirlpool. At an elevation of 3,688 ft., the 'Castle in the Sky' offers one of the most amazing views in North Carolina with a spectacular 270 degree view of Mount Mitchell, the Toe River Valley, the Continental Divide and multiple layers of mountain ranges.

The Reception will be held at the same place right after the ceremony. Everyone is welcome to drinks, dancing, eating, and enjoying each others company, and helping start our new life together with a BANG! Also during this time we will be lighting sky lanterns and letting them fly for a beautiful view to close out the night.
