A few things

What is the dress code?

Please keep in mind we will be in a House of God. Please use your best judgment on a modest outfit. You are more than welcome to bring your dancing shoes for the reception!

Are Children Welcome?

We want to welcome you to bring your kids! There is the school playground next to the reception area they can play on and we plan to have a kids table with a few activities for them to do.

Other Activities Happening at the Wedding Reception

For those that haven't ever attended a wedding in Nazareth, we have a few extracurricular activities you will want to take part in!

After we eat we will get ready to head to "the wedding hill" in Nazareth. You can walk or jump in with someone that's driving, or drive your own vehicle to the bottom of the hill. The groom will be pushing his bride up the hill in whatever contraption he comes up with so be sure to honk to cheer him on!! The wedding party and others may take their turn on helping get the bride pushed up the hill as well! The distance is around a half mile down the hill and back up.

Once everyone gets back to the community hall it'll be time to grab your dance partner or anyone you so choose (make sure to get the little kids too!) to line up for the Grand March. If you have never participated in the Grand March, it will be easy to just follow the crowd. Like any dance, the movement itself tells a story, beginning with the wedding party dancing into the hall together. This is meant to symbolize the celebration of the new life of the bride and groom as one. Each couple will split throughout the march representing the fights that can come in marriage and then everyone comes back together. Next in the March comes the bridge and everyone tunnels through it. This represents that marriage grows stronger over hardships. Lastly, we end the March in several circles with the bride and groom in the middle and this represents the love of family, friends, and the community that will continue to be there for the newlywed couple as they begin their life together.
