Once upon a time, a young woman named Alison worked in a magical ice cream shop called The Bent Spoon. There she met an elfin creature named Abby Miller. Abby went to high school with one Michael Fechtmann. She had a hunch about Alison and Michael and set them up on a date. The result was an epic and wonderful first date: a picnic in the town square, magical treats at the ice cream shop, and an underground adventure that led to a beautiful rooftop tete-a-tete. It was immediately apparent that Alison and Michael were hand crafted for one another. Their quirks just matched up perfectly!

I feel this can go a lot of directions, so here it goes:We both wished we were theoretical physicists. Not even close.It's like I'm James Bond and he's 007. Bharat Chandrasekaran

Stacy and I met the first day of high school and have been besties ever since. She's a fiercely loyal friend, which I guess makes up for her being Russian. Our favorite activities together include ridiculously long walks through NYC in search of baked goodies, finding new and tiny BYOB restaurants, drooling over Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You (sorry, Mike! I hadn't met you yet!), and talking about Jane Austen's novels. 

Stacy Dubov

Eldest member of the triFECHTa. He did a lot of really cool '90s extreme sports (skate, BMX, etc.) that I tried once and failed miserably and gave up. He tends to like the path less wandered and I look up to him for that.

Bobby Fechtmann

Brita and I stayed in the same cabin my first year at camp (twenty years ago) and loved each other so much we began an epistolary bromance. I spent much of the year I interned in NYC on Brita's couch, staying up way too late giggling about anything and everything (along with her sister, Astrid). Our favorite activities include crafting and talking about books...specifically Jane Austen's novels.

Brita Vallens

Twenty years ago Astrid and I bunked together in cabin 9 (along with her sister, Brita) and have grown even closer over the years. She, like her sister, was a gracious hostess during the year I interned in NYC. Our favorite activities include speaking in silly accents and discussing gross things (she's a nurse and now has AWESOME gross stories).

Astrid Vallens

Youngest member of the triFECHTa. Never afraid to speak his mind, so thank goodness he's charismatic. Though he's my younger brother I still look up to him for his social adeptness and  creative mind.

Kurt Fechtmann

Affectionately known as Beans, he's quite the merry maker. He convinced me to join the track team in high school, and I can't thank him enough for that. Some of the best times of my life were spent with Beans and the usual suspects as we tried to avoid running. 

Pinto Adhola

The day Leksy was born I looked deep into her eyes and knew I'd forever be besties with that baby. Over the past twenty-one years this friendship has deepened into sisterhood (usually it goes the other way around). Since we were both born without sisters, we naturally stepped into that role for one another. Our favorite activities include slumber parties and dreaming about moving to Latvia together (sorry, Mike!).

EAT, DRINK, AND BE MERRY!

There are plenty of fun things to do in the area! Tannersville has a golf course. Hunter Mountain has a whole slew of fun things to do (more information at <a href="http://www.huntermtn.com/resort/area/">http://www.huntermtn.com/resort/area/</a> ) including ziplines, fly-fishing, a scenic skyride, and horseback riding. Please check the link as many activities must be booked in advance. You will likely pass Kaaterskill Falls on your way to camp. It's 
absolutely beautiful! If you love hiking and want to see it from closer 
than your car can bring you, there are hiking trails that should do the
