Our story started several years before we ended up becoming "official". It all started with a click and a "love" on Facebook Dating..

I was skeptical of Facebook Dating since it was a new app that had just been created right before I decided to join.. And I had never online dated before.

Austin was very persistent on wanting to spend time with me. We texted each other daily, snapchatted and lots of phone calls for nearly two years. (Austin was always finding any reason to call me).

I was slow on wanting to see him in person because I was nervous and afraid of him not liking me...

One night I finally budged and said we could go for a ride in his BIG truck and listen to country music and jam out. Austin jumped on the opportunity and drove right over to get me from my apartment. We went down around the Runnells bottoms, and he showed me all of the bells and whistles on his truck. (He is pretty proud of his vast collection of strobe and flashlights.)

He was a gentleman and drove me home after a while and asked for a hug goodnight. After that night I knew I like him, but I kept things slow..

Fast forward about 6 months later and I invited him out to drinks with me and an old friend. He met us at The Foundry in Bondurant. I was so nervous! He was so cute and sweet though.

He bought me several rounds that night. And ever since then we were inseparable.

I even called and texted my best friend telling her that I met this guy named Austin and I finally gave him a chance after about two years. I said, "I think he's end game." (End game means to me that, that is it. He is what I want for the rest of my life.)

After that night we saw each other a few more times the same week and Austin asked me to be his girlfriend. I of course said yes. The holidays were approaching quickly so we met each other's families around that time. It's like he was my missing puzzle piece.

Fast forward to us getting a house, another dog and so many more things. It just all felt so easy to be with him. We had started building our lives together.

On Friday February 3, 2023 I worked my full-time job at Elder and then went to get my nails done after work. I got home and was supposed to be giving Austin a haircut. He was acting strange and had his hand twisted backwards so I could not see his palm. I was like what is wrong with you? HAHA Then he got down on one knee in our kitchen and asked me to be his wife. I of course asked if he got my dad's permission and of course than said YES!!! And the rest is now history.

I feel so blessed to have Austin as my future spouse and built in best friend and partner. I cannot wait to see what we can do and enjoy in our life together.
