Ali and Nate met one fateful Sunday through their mutual friends at Two Roads Ok2berfest. Ali struggling from the night before, had one sip of her beer that day. While Nate does not recall meeting her at all, or anything from that day for that matter. However, Ali knew there was just something about him when he hopped into their friend's (Fi's) back seat and promptly requested we blast Rent on the radio while he sang Seasons of Love with his sunglasses still fully placed upside down (a staple of Nate's party alter ego Ali would soon learn...).

Fast forward to Ali's 27th birthday-- where, after a failure-to-launch of a move to NYC during the dark times (aka 2020), she moves back to Stamford to live with her best friends. The SB Clubhouse (Apt. 250) became known for its themed parties and, more specifically, the Game Nights. One night after Ali absolutely cleaned up in a game of poker, Nate asked for Ali's number under the guise of wanting to trash talk about poker and the Packers. It was not long after, that he asks her out on their first date to Cask Republic (rip). --Nate and Ali had been seeing each other for about a month by the time her birthday rolled around, where she first realized how deep his obsession with dinosaurs goes when he appeared that night in a full dino onesie...

Nate takes Ali on a magical date in NYC to see her favorite musical, Wicked (it's Nate's fav now too💚). He asked her to be his girlfriend over Italian food and she of course said yes!

By NYE 2020 the pair were closer than ever and shortly after enjoying some floor prosecco at The SB Clubhouse after the ball dropped, Nate told Ali he loved her 🤍.

Ali's band needed a new guitar player and boy did she know a guy...

From there they became each others' forever wedding date and travel partner. Shout out to our friends for their incredible wedding in Key West!! It ended up being Nate and Ali's first trip away together.

After being in a band together for some time (shout out T.A.N.) and realizing they weren't going to have a full Fleetwood Mac-level breakup, they decided it was time to transform from regular ole Nate and Ali to Ali + Nate. (From there they simply finessed some places into believing they had been an acoustic duo for years...).

2022 brought them many more date nights, music gigs, their first apartment, and fun trips including going to Chicago to see the Packers play the Bears! Nate's a huge Bears fan and had always wanted to see a game at Soldier Field. (Meanwhile Ali's a Packers fan and we're NOT going to talk about how Aaron Rodgers owned the Bears at their own stadium that day).

At the start of 2023, they set off on a week long adventure to the Grand Canyon and Vegas for Nate's 30th!

By the end of 2023 they're engaged!! Nate proposed to Ali at the Whaler's Inn in Mystic.

They buy their first home!
