What will the weather be like this time of year?

The weather should be 50-70 degrees in mid-April. So long as we are not rained out, our ceremony will be outside in the garden, cocktail hour will be at the outdoor bar, and the reception will be inside. In case of rain, we will move the outdoor events under a tent or indoors.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand to find your seat.

Where are the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception taking place?

The wedding will take place at the Gardens at Heather Farm. The ceremony will be in the garden, the cocktail hour in the outdoor bar area, and the reception in the Camellia Room.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

There are no other events other than the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on April 12.

Am I invited to the rehearsal luncheon?

Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal lunch guest list to our immediate family. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

The venue is located off of Ygnacio Valley Road and Marchbanks Drive in Walnut Creek. If you would like to take public transportation to the area, the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) runs from Oakland International Airport or San Francisco International Airport to the Walnut Creek BART Station. Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are also available.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There are 50 free parking spots at the venue outside the Camellia Room. Cars cannot remain in the parking lot overnight. If you wish to leave your car at the venue overnight, please park on the street outside the venue. We encourage you to carpool or take an Uber/Lyft/taxi.

Are kids welcome?

Children will be listed on your invitation. Please note in your RSVP if they will be attending.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue is ADA accessible. The Camellia Room is at ground level, and there are wheelchair accessible ramps that lead to the garden and outdoor bar.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar. Try our signature cocktails: the Lavender Haze and the Spice Melange!

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

After the cocktail hour, dinner will be served about 6 pm. We will have a Mexican food buffet with rice, beans, and tacos filled with carnitas, steak, chicken, or seasonal vegetables.

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

We have attempted to make accommodations to many different diets with a variety of foods. Please let the server/caterer know of any dietary restrictions when you are at the buffet so they can let you know what options fit your requirements.

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled some of the Martin family’s favorite hot spots near their home and the venue before or after the wedding. Additionally, the neighboring Bay Area cities have many world-class restaurants and attractions that may be of interest.

Where do you recommend I stay?

For your comfort and convenience, we recommend booking accommodations in Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill, or Lafayette, which are close to our wedding venue and offer great amenities. These areas provide a range of options to suit different preferences, and you'll be well-located to enjoy the festivities!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

We are having a mostly unplugged ceremony. We have hired a fantastic photographer and want to ensure there are no cellphones blocking her shot. You will get a chance to get your own picture during the ceremony when the officiant pauses for a 1-minute photo opportunity once the bride and groom have arrived at the altar. After that, please silence your phone and put it away until after the ceremony. We highly encourage photos at cocktail hour and the reception!

How do I share the photos I take at cocktail hour and the reception with you?

We would love to see photos and videos you take at the reception! You can email them to alisonandnate2025@gmail.com or upload them to our Google Drive folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Mj4YMNn31gKtKG4I0rHYg0lZUOt3Bi8g?usp=sharing
