Our Wedding

Friday October 17th

Meet the bride and groom out the night before the big day! We are planning on meeting at the Stabbur Beer Garden (connected to Al Johnson's) in Sister Bay the night before the big day for drinks! We are planning on arriving between 7-8pm. It is Fall Fest so we expect it to be busy there but worth the trip!! Plan on eating before attending the welcome party. Parking: Official lots at the&nbsp;Sister Bay Sports Complex&nbsp;(2155 Autumn Court) or the&nbsp;former Shopko&nbsp;(2541 S. Bay Shore Dr.), which include&nbsp;handicap parking&nbsp;at the&nbsp;Sister Bay Marina&nbsp;(2279 Scandia Road). A suggested $10 donation for the&nbsp;food pantry&nbsp;offers parking at&nbsp;St. Luke's Episcopal Church&nbsp;(2336 Canterbury Lane). Vehicle access to the village core will be limited after 9:00 AM, so arrive early or use the available shuttle service.&nbsp; There are also shuttles that run and ubers.

Gordon Lodge offers complimentary breakfast to Lodge guests. We'll see you there if you are lodging at the venue! Pick up any cars left at Gordon Lodge by 12:00

Weekend Timeline

Adam and Alissa met when they went on a spring break trip together with mutual friends to the Smoky Mountains in 2018. They continued getting to know each other at Marquette University and have been together ever since! They have been supporting each other through life and whatever has come their way like graduating from Marquette, going to graduate school, new jobs, and helping each other move to and from many apartments and houses. Throughout their relationship they have done so many exciting things together: Camping, kayaking and hiking their way through Wisconsin, went to Nashville , Michigan and Arizona together, as well as Alaska with Adam's family and the Bahamas with Alissa's family, been to unlimited hockey games (yes, Adam transformed Alissa into a hockey fan), and have been each other's plus ones to many weddings. They have created a beautiful life together, moved in and even rescued the cutest dog in the world, Luna! They can't wait to continue this life together forever!!!

There are many hotels and rental houses (airbnb, VRBO, etc) that you can book in Door County. Listed below are our hotel blocks. Fall Fest is a busy time in Door County, and we encourage EARLY booking.

We are expecting many of our guests to utilize the lodging and cottages we have reserved at Gordon Lodge! You must call Gordon Lodge to reserve a room. There are limited rooms so we encourage you to book as early as possible if you would like to stay on site with us for the weekend. There is a required 50% deposit when you call to book your room. You can book with our Hotel Block until July 17, 2025, then booking goes out to the public.

This is our personal picture from this hotel! We are unable to do a Hotel Block as our wedding falls on a festival weekend, however, we highly recommend staying at this hotel in Baileys Harbor if you are unable to stay at Gordon Lodge or the other Hotel Blocks.

Sister Bay Fall Fest is an annual celebration held in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. It is known for being a family-friendly event with live music, local vendors, arts and crafts stalls and much more! Oct 17-19, 2025

Fall Fest

Considered Wisconsin's most complete park, Peninsula State Park offers over 460 campsites, three group camps, a summer theater, an 18-hole golf course, sand beach, bike trails, a lighthouse and eight miles of Door County shoreline. The rollicking waves that skip towards Peninsula's sky high bluffs are part of the Niagara Escarpment.

Gordon Lodge has a heated outdoor swimming pool, complimentary kayaks and bikes for guests to use, as well as an area to play tennis and basketball! They have acres of hiking lands as well.

Cave Point County Park is perhaps the most iconic natural landscape in all of Door County. Revered by divers, photographers, swimmers, hikers, and all who visit, the beautifully carved rock faces lining the blue waters of Lake Michigan are quintessentially Door County. While not a state or national park, Cave Point has no shortage of majesty. Local county officials preserve the park, offering free admission to the picnic areas, trails, and spectacular views just up the beach from Whitefish Dunes State Park.

Founded in 1937, The Ridges Sanctuary is Wisconsin's first land trust, protecting the state's most biologically diverse ecosystem. Its ridge-swale complex provides a variety of environmental conditions from open beach to densely shaded conifer forest, home to 500 species of plants, 60 species of birds and 12 threatened or endangered species like the Hine's Emerald dragonfly. Each year, thousands hike trails where orchids thrive as they did when the paths were first cleared by founding members. Peak Season open 7 days a week, 9:00-5:00.
