Our Wedding

<p>It all started with a swipe and a knock as Alivia and Alex met one Saturday in April. We had our first date at the Botanical Gardens, Chicken Salad Chick, and Chops Grille in Athens, GA. Things truly clicked from the first moment we spent together and we had no clue how special April 2023 would be. We began to spend every weekend together, even as we were 2 1/2 hours apart, laughing, going on adventures, meeting each other's families, eating good food, watching movies, going on date nights and so much more. There were fears as we both knew that Alex would be leaving soon as he had gotten stationed in Fort Meade, Maryland only 2 months after we began dating. However, time would show that no matter the distance our love would not falter. Instead, it taught us how to show up for each other no matter the circumstance, to fight for each moment, to love each other through many miles, to set time for each other, and to savor every minute we were able to be together. Through the upcoming years, we got to celebrate birthdays, graduations, special moments, promotions, awards, and smiles, whether 0 or 600 miles apart. As cliche as it sounds, I truly knew that I wanted to spend every moment, whether good or bad, with Alex by my side very early on. Our time together has only strengthened that as he has become my best friend, cheerleader, confidante, and supporter. I could not imagine spending forever with anyone else, here's to us.</p>

Kara Ray and I have been best friends since 5th grade and have experienced everything together! She has been by my side through laughs, tears, and big moments, and I know she will accompany me for many more. I cannot wait to have her stand by my side on the day we have dreamed about for years!

Caitlin and I met during our first week of OT grad school and have been inseparable ever since. She’s my go-to person, the one I can always rant to, and someone who truly understands me. I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on this day.

Anna is my OT grad school roomie and someone who brings so much laughter into my life. Our relationship is playful and full of humor, but she’s also the person I can talk to in the kitchen for hours while keeping each other grounded. I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side.

Alana is one of my OT grad school roommates and someone who just gets me. From Chick-fil-A runs and TV binges to meaningful late-night talks, she’s a huge part of my village and my go-to “it is what it is” person. I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Elle is my OT grad school roommate and downstairs neighbor, and someone who always knows how to make me laugh. She has the kindest, most bubbly soul, and being around her is always a joy. I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on this day.

<p>We invite our guests to dress in light, pastel, and summery colors to complement our wedding aesthetic. Florals, solid colors, and soft designs are all welcome. Please avoid blue and darker shades. For women, we kindly request maxi or floor-length dresses in bright, airy hues. For men, a button-up shirt paired with khakis is a perfect choice—no dark suits or tuxedos, such as black, brown, or dark gray. Thank you for helping us create a light, joyful celebration!</p>
