Our Wedding

Sometimes love finds you in the most unexpected way — and often, right when you need it most. Though Stevie had actually messaged me on Instagram years ago (something we laugh about now!), our real story began after tragedy struck. On December 10, 2021, an EF4 tornado tore through Dawson Springs, Kentucky, destroying Stevie’s family home while they were inside. It’s truly a miracle that they survived — the only thing left standing was the couch they were sitting on. The very next day, Stevie and his family moved in temporarily with his sister, who happened to live across the street from me in Madisonville. Just two days later, on December 12th, fate stepped in again — we met at a friend’s house in that same neighborhood. From that moment on, everything changed. He asked me to be his girlfriend on December 29, 2021, and it’s been the easiest “yes” ever since. This past January, after finishing nursing school, we took a cruise to celebrate — or so I thought. What I didn’t know was that Stevie had planned the most magical surprise. With the ocean as our backdrop and my parents secretly flown in to the Grand Cayman, he got down on one knee. I thought we were just taking graduation photos… but it turned into the moment that changed my life forever. He is truly the most selfless, caring man, and every part of our story reminds me that love can rise from the storm — literally. &lt;3

Due to the nature of the rural roads surrounding our venue, we highly recommend staying within our room block and arranging transportation rather than driving after the reception.
