It all began at a little Tex-Mex restaurant in Pantego, Texas. In 2018, Alix started working at El Chico. She had no idea that the job would lead to something far more life-changing than just a paycheck. The following summer, Troy — one of Alix’s soon-to-be favorite people — returned to work after being away at school. The two hit it off immediately, forming a quick friendship that would set everything in motion. But Troy had a feeling there was someone else Alix just had to meet. When Taylor got back into town, Troy didn’t waste any time. “There’s a new hot girl working at El Chico,” he told him. “She spells her name with an i. You gotta meet her.” Sure enough, on Taylor’s very first shift back, he walked straight up to her and said with a grin, “Hi, my name’s Taylor. You must be Alix.” Caught off guard, Alix smiled and said, “Hi, I’m Alix… but you obviously knew that.” And just like that, something sparked — a moment frozen in time that neither of them will ever forget. From that day forward, they were nearly inseparable. Their first date wasn’t anything extravagant — just Boston Market chicken pot pies and Spider-Man: Homecoming. But to them, it was perfect. It was the beginning of everything. Then came three long years of long distance — late-night calls, road trips, and countdowns to the next time they’d see each other. But through it all, their love only grew stronger. After graduating from Texas Tech with a double major, Taylor finally made it back home, and the two of them began building a life together, side by side. In December 2023, under twinkling lights and the weight of years of love, Taylor got down on one knee and asked Alix to spend forever with him. She said yes — of course she did — and now here we are, getting ready to say “I do” surrounded by the people we love most. This is just the beginning of the best chapter yet.
