It all started in middle school when Daniel would burn mixed CD's for me. From then on, I knew I had him! As most of you know we attended Breck School together since preschool, so we've known each other since we were 5 years old. Crazy long time. Anyway, our relationship started to bloom in February 2005. We were 13 and 14 at the time. It was at a Super Bowl party that Daniel was having, that is when I decided that he was going to be the guy I will marry. I picked him then and I still pick him. ☺️ As many of our classmates remember, the day that Daniel first mustered up the courage to ask me out; was during Hallie and Carmen's birthday bonfire. Sorry guys, but thank you for allowing our little love to blossom on your day! I remember sitting on the trampoline and Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend. I first replied "no" and he looked devastated. Sorry boo, wanted to see your sense of humor. But I jokingly changed my answer and told him I was kidding. About time I said to myself. From then on we were inseparable. Except for baseball. Baseball was the only thing Daniel was more excited about than me. But it was something that I grew to love and made our relationship stronger. I even became the manager one year! We even had a little acronym ILYANF. I Love You Always 'N' Forever. We wrote that in every note, card, any gift we exchanged. That was us. ILYANF. Fast forward to graduation. I didn't want high school to end, because that meant we were going to college. Mind you we didn't go to the same one. Daniel traveled 11 hours to University of Michigan- GO BLUE! And I went, 12 hours to Wittenberg University. Tiger up Witt! We broke up to let each other "experience" college. Pshh. Do you think we stayed away from each other!?! Um no. We literally had 3 weeks to settle in to school and then we were back together. We made the long distance thing work; Wittenberg was 3 and a half hours away from Michigan, so that was good planning on my part 😏. Then we fast forward to college graduation. Daniel graduated 2 weeks before I did and I went to his ceremony. As all of the frat bros and the girls that were in our circle were headed out they asked me why I wasn't coming with or why I didn't have my cap and gown on, thinking I went to U of M. I said "geez, I've been coming to visit here too much." "I don't actually go here." "I'm just here for graduation for Daniel." Everyone was so shocked and couldn't believe that I wasn't enrolled there. Clearly we spend too much time together. Now to real life. After our graduations we moved to our first place in Chicago! We were there for a year and we enjoyed it. We then moved home to Minnesota! Really great place if you've never been there. We highly suggest it. 😏😉 we stayed a little bit longer here since it was home. But then something amazing happened in June of 2015. We went on an "anniversary" trip to Cancun, Mexico! So much fun! Lots of special one on one time for us. Since we're so busy all the time with work, friends, and family. We were able to finally travel and spend some relaxation time just us. Daniel took me to a really romantic and interesting restaurant; where we had a plethora of small plates leading up to a yummy desert and magical proposal. Many of my friends and I had been joking for months about my reaction if Daniel were to propose. I told them it's been way to long, Daniel isn't going to propose any time soon. I told them I wouldn't cry and that I'd most likely say "thank God and about time." Well I did end up crying and I was in disbelief. I was so excited to have the guy that I already decided I was going to marry, agree and want to, and ask me to marry him! ❤️ He had fallen under my spell. That was a year ago and here we are today. 10 years later were still together and happy. We now live in Michigan. Enjoying our little life we have and planning this crazy thing that you're invited to, called Our Wedding. We are really excited and cannot thank you enough for coming. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us and for being a part of our lives. You are truly incredible people who have had to put up with our shenanigans and making our lives richer.
