Clayton &amp; Alixandra, Every love story starts somewhere, ours began with an unexpected knock on the door, and somehow, it turned into everything. That’s when Clayton showed up to sell Verizon internet. He was outgoing, charming, a little nervous, and so, so cute. There was something about his energy that pulled me in right away. And right there on my doorstep, he smiled nervously and said he was smitten… He gave me his number — "for work". What Clayton didn’t know was that I had been manifesting someone like him into my life and somehow, he had been showing up long before we ever met. His name had appeared in random places, little signs from the universe that now make perfect sense. Later, while chatting with my mom, I found out she had actually met him too, just the week before. That little coincidence gave me the perfect reason to reach out, so I texted him to say, “funny story, you met my mom!” From there… the conversation never stopped. Our first date was in downtown Detroit. We started with a drink at Second Best, then wandered over to Bakersfield for some street-style tacos. It was simple and fun, and I knew that no matter what, I was happy to have met him. Once-a-week dates turned into two, then three nights a week. Time together quickly became the best part of our lives. By December 2022, we made our relationship official. Then, at the end of that same month, Clayton asked me to take a leap with him, to move to Atlanta, Georgia. It was bold, it was fast… and yet, nothing had ever made more sense. I told him, without hesitation, “yes, absolutely.” And by February 2023, we moved into our first home together. Our two years in Atlanta were full of love, laughter, and growth. We explored new places, went to music festivals, shared cozy dinners, paddle boarded, hiked, and built a life full of joy and intention. We fell deeper in love with every adventure, every quiet moment, and every step forward together. We became each other's safe place, a love rooted in deep understanding, trust, and a shared vision for life. We bring out the best in each other. We love without conditions. We dream, we grow, and we show up for one another every single day. Then, on Thanksgiving weekend, November 28th, 2024, Clayton got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. I said yes, through tears and with my whole heart. In February 2025, we began a new chapter with another big move, this time to Knoxville, Tennessee. Not long after, we welcomed two sweet kittens, Theodore and Iris, into our home. Our little family grew, and so has our excitement for the future. Now, we’re planning our wedding, a celebration of everything we’ve built, and everything still ahead. On May 8th, 2026, we’ll say “I do” in front of the people we love most. We want this day to reflect the love we’ve found, the joy we share, and the life we’ve created, together. Ours is a love that found us at the perfect time; unexpected, undeniable, and exactly right. It felt like we were always meant to find each other.
