“I remember the very first time I saw Jeff (We were at Smiths Ol’ Bar in Atlanta seeing a mutual friends band). I felt fireworks inside of my soul and was shot in the heart by his piercing green eyes and gorgeous smile. Right then, this total stranger I had just met, struck an unknown chord in my heart and I knew that there was something special about him. For years we would run into each other. These moments were always special, but it wasn’t quite our time to be together forever, yet. I longed for the next time we would run into each other.

In 2015, when I started working at Mellow Mushroom, we became the best of friends very quickly. I had no idea that he worked there and it was the most glorious of surprises. We spent massive amounts of time together, sharing secrets and sharing laughs. Something inside of me was growing each day, pushing me towards him. He was my rock in very hard times in my life, always there for the good and the bad.

At the beginning of 2016, the universe finally said it was our time to be each other’s better half’s. For a while I spent time introducing him to my friends and “taking it slow”. Taking it slow wasn’t in the cards for us because we knew we were meant to be together, we had waited for it for years and years.

March 28, 2016 we decided we could no longer go without being each other’s everything and that was the day I knew I wanted to marry him. I believe all the years before when we had met, the fireworks inside were a burst of love and it only grew stronger each time we saw each other. We have been on so many adventures together, falling deeper and deeper in love with each passing day. I never knew how deep a love for one individual could be until I was fortunate enough to have met Jeff.

On April 20, 2019 he asked me if I would be with him forever and without a doubt I said “YES”, I had never been so sure about anything in my entire life. Each day with him is a beautiful and euphoric adventure.

“I’ll never forget meeting you that New Year’s Eve. I saw you across a crowded venue and you stole the air out of the room. I was stricken by your beauty and had to come talk to you. Come to find out we had a lot of mutual friends and I hoped to see you again after leaving that night.

The day you started working at Mellow was one of the best days of my life. We immediately connected and became best friends very quickly. We spent all day, every day together until we decided that we couldn’t be without each other any longer.

We finally got together on March 28, 2016. Not long after that we got our special boy, Phish. Who is extremely annoying but I couldn’t picture our family without him. We’ve been through some hardships but without each other we wouldn’t have been able to grow into the people we are today.

After several beautiful years of dating, in February 2019, I started having a custom wedding ring made for you because nothing I could pick out in a store could even amount to how special you are to me. I knew that I wanted to wake up next to you every day for the rest of my life. I’m so happy and proud to be yours and you mine.

On April 20, 2019 the ring was finally finished and I asked you to marry me the same day, I couldn’t contain my excitement. I know that I can continue to make you as happy as you’ve made me every single day and to love you forever. It’s so great knowing that I’ll have a dancing partner for life. I know we will laugh with each other everyday. I look forward to our future. I’ve always loved you, and always will. You’re a part of me.”
