To all of our guests coming in from the next town over or the opposite side of the country - we'd like to thank you for putting aside your personal lives to come and celebrate our wedding with us. We've included some information below for travel accommodations to hopefully help lighten the load of arranging your stay.

Closest airport to our wedding venue, and arguably the best airport in the country.

Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport

The La Quinta Inn &amp; Suites Hotel is located approximately 15 minutes from the venue. In order to get the wedding hotel room rate, please call the hotel and provide the room block code.

Travel

While you're in town for our wedding, you may as well explore the area! This list combines some of our favorite places to visit with the top recommended local activities in the area.

Activities

Small vineyard in RI with wine tastings available daily from 12PM-4PM. Bring your own food and take a bottle of wine home with you! Located about 15 minutes from our wedding venue or 30 minutes from La Quinta Inn in Plainville, CT.

Leyden Farm Vineyard & Winery

Casino with all sorts of restaurants, bars, events, live music, and a large shopping mall outlet with big name stores. You can also stay at the resort, which is located about 30 minutes from our wedding venue.

Foxwoods Resort Casino

Beautiful hiking trail over a retired railbed along the banks of the Mooseup River that snakes through several small rural towns in eastern CT. Easy, flat, out and back walking trail with access points from the road.

Moosup Valley State Park Trail

Village of stores and walking paths with all the shopping you could ever hope for. Located right off of I-95, this village has restaurants, cafes, bookstores, boutiques, gift shops, scandanavian goods, toy stores, etc. etc. etc.! Located about 40 minutes south of La Quinta Inn, Mystic is a bit farther than other attractions, but certainly worth a day trip between the Olde Mistick Village and the downtown Mystic Seaport.

Restaurants

Great little towny restaurant and bar with a diverse menu and something for everyone. Located about 15 minutes from Plainfield.

Town Grill & Pizzeria

Hometown country-style gastropub located on a golf course. Menu has lots of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and select entrees, but come hungry because you'll leave with extra. Great place to grab a bite after a round of golf, and only located 15 minutes from La Quinta hotel.

Tullis Taphouse

Their slogan is Eat and Drink like a local. We can almost guarantee that us locals gravitate toward ole Dunkin for our 5 star breakfast provisions, but in case youre more cultured than us (or if the free hotel breakfast isnt doing it for you), this cafe has some great breakfast sandwich, coffee, and lunch options, and its only about a 2 minute drive from La Quinta Inn.
