From the moment we met, we knew there was something special between us. It all started from a Bumble match we thought, until a round of Jewish Geography made us realize we went to Hebrew School together.

As we spent more time together, we realized how much we had in common — our shared love for traveling, cooking/baking, dogs, family, Broadway and sports. Whether it was road trips upstate listening to Taylor Swift or Broadway soundtracks, cooking dinner together, or simply staying in watching our favorite movies, we knew that we made each other better.

Maybe it was love at first sip at Gregory’s Coffee on Long Island where we had our first date which led to a first dinner at Rosa Mexicana, where Corey learned that dining with me is always an adventure and an unexpected and unwanted onion in our guac led to a free meal. Corey chose the LIRR to profess his feelings, and his heartfelt and much reciprocated “I love you” came hurtling down the tracks after an Islanders game, setting the stage for adventures near and far: snorkeling in Curacao, baking and decorating cakes, and taking in Broadway’s best. Corey has mastered the art of being my garden’s designated garbage bag carrier and earned the family nickname “CDubs.” In Portugal, I persuaded him to try riding Segway, and he got me to expand my seafood horizons—proof that love is all about balance.

Our relationship has been filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. From navigating life’s challenges side by side to celebrating every triumph, we've learned that together we are unstoppable. We even learned that we sat next to each other in our Hebrew School Graduation photo. One might say this relationship was Beshert, which means, meant to be in Yiddish.

On March 17, 2025 Corey surprised me in the most beautiful way by proposing at a winery estate in the Douro Valley. It was a moment filled with love, joy, the promise of forever and a nice juicy freshly picked orange.
