We were high school sweethearts dating one month when this picture was taken during Homecoming Week. Nate was a Junior and I was a Freshman...with no idea what was in store... :-)

We faced the challenges of time apart through Boot Camp, a deployment to Afghanistan and college. This picture was from the day Nate came home from his year long deployment.

The day we were engaged! I completed a college internship in Steamboat Springs, CO and Nate flew out to drive back with me. His original plan was to ask me to marry him at a scenic spot in Colorado that was special to me. Lots of travel snags made that difficult to pull off, so the engagement happened back in Wisconsin. Nate had to do LOTS of text messaging with family to arrange for the new plan without me catching on. He successfully handed the engagement ring off to our future sister-in-law who raced to Nate's parent's house to tie the ring around our dog Oakley's neck. I was greeted at home by our sweet pup and a very special surprise!

The two "Red Girls", Oakley and Winnie, had to be included in the engagement session. Oakley is almost three and Winnie is eight months old.

The Red Girls love the water. Hunting ducks and geese are some of their favorite things to do.

We have made tons of great memories together with family and friends on Lake Arbutus.

Nate works for Lunda Construction and I work for a family owned business; Legacy-Trees.

We can't wait to share our special day with all of our favorite people.
