Sometimes the best things happen when you’re not looking for them. We met in upstate New York while Allie was in chiropractic school — both of us a little jaded by the past and not expecting much. Stephen was just weeks away from moving when fate stepped in and brought us together. From the beginning, we’ve been each other’s balance. Stephen was Allie’s steady hand through the chaos of school — a calming presence when things felt overwhelming and her anxiety was at an all time high. And Allie, true to her Virgo nature, kept Stephen (a classic Taurus) focused and moving forward, even when his instinct was to take it slow. One of their favorite lyrics “Stay as long as you want… i’ve never left your bed since.” By Father John Misty, truly encapsulates just how quickly things clicked into place for them. When you know you know! Over the years, we’ve helped each other grow and supported one another through life’s many twists and turns. At home, we’ve built a cozy life with our two cats — Laszlo, who’s just as chill and loyal as Stephen, and Zelda, who shares Allie’s spirited, spicy and sensitive energy. We spend our favorite moments at the beach, playing guitar and singing together, and sharing meals that Stephen lovingly cooks for Allie and she bakes for him. Five years, countless memories, and two crazy kitties later, we’re so excited to begin the next chapter of our story in the place we love most — the beautiful coast of Maine. We can’t wait to celebrate with the people who mean the world to us. See you by the sea!
