We both graduated in May of 2022 and had a quick turn-around into doing the Residency at Fellowship Bible Church. We met on the first night of moving into "the village" and quickly connected over our Lord of the Rings nerdy-ness. Through the next few months of sharing a duplex wall, we grew closer as friends over the many game nights, movie nights, and Mario kart competitions (Allie does not like to lose, but I would destroy her every-time).

About 5 months into our friendship, I really began to notice Allie not only as a friend but also as someone who I could call a companion and from there my unspoken crush on her began. Over the next 4 months the feelings were only amplified and I was blown away by her pursuit of Jesus. These next few months were beyond difficult as I read into anything and everything that she did to see if there were any feelings coming from her end.

Eventually after many weeks of seeking counsel and prayer, I decided to tell her how I felt late one Wednesday night in which she revealed similar feelings. We only went on two dates and left the second date having confidence in pursuing each other into a dating relationship. After about 5 months of dating we began having the conversations about what this relationship could look like for the rest of our lives.

After a few months of dreaming and preparing (on my end), I proposed to Allie on December 9th, 2023. I'm beyond grateful for the companion that the Lord has blessed me with in Allie, and I can't wait to continue this journey into marriage. Allie is incredibly humble, gentle, authentic, and is someone that I get to call my wife for the rest of our time here on this Earth. She is someone I know I can trust as a Mother, a Sister in Christ, and as a Wife.
