Our Story

Daniel and I met in the summer of 2017. I spent the entire day moving out from my second-floor apartment in Milledgeville and yes in July. I was exhausted and looking forward to relaxing that evening. I ended up hearing that SAE was having a party and a few friends and I decided last minute to go. We were introduced by one of Daniel's groomsmen, Andrew Brown. I remember meeting Daniel and thinking how I went all of this time not knowing him. From that very first conversation, he has had a hold of my heart.

After that night I told one of my friends and now a bridesmaid, Maggie Brogan, that I felt a special connection with Daniel. I believe she replied “Oh goodness here we go”, knowing that I told her I wasn’t looking for any type of relationship this summer. We did not exchange numbers but kept in touch via snapchat. I’m pretty sure the first snapchat I ever sent him took me at least 10 different tries. I was never so anxious for school to start and have the chance to run into Daniel. August finally arrived, we met, our relationship stepped up from snapchatting and 3 months later he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Semesters passed by, we were inseparable and starting to fall in love. Perfect timing for a long-distance relationship, we knew the distance would be difficult but breaking up wasn't an option. I graduated and started teaching in Roswell and Daniel pursued his nursing degree in Augusta. Two years passed quickly, we focused on our relationship and learned a lot about one another but most importantly that we wanted to be together. Daniel graduated and started working in Atlanta. It was so nice to finally be back in the same city together.

Watching Daniel go through nursing school, start working and hearing his stories truly inspired me to go back to school to become a nurse. Daniel became my coach and biggest fan helping me get through school. He was so patient with me and gave me the best advice, I couldn’t have done it without him. Once I graduated our relationship finally did not revolve around classes, studying, exams, and clinical days.

I am happy to say all our hard work paid off. I am working at CHOA and Daniel made an exciting career change last year to become a medical device sales rep in the operating room. We continue to grow and learn about each other daily.

It has been exciting the last several years celebrating our close friends getting married and planting roots in various communities. We are extremely blessed that our family and friends are able to come together to celebrate us now during our time. God’s timing was perfect with our engagement. We feel so blessed we have each other and all of you to be a part of our special day.
