Where does your new last name "Atlera" come from?
The name combines “Atlas,” the Greek god of strength and endurance, also known to be the titan founder of astronomy, and “Hera,” the Greek goddess of marriage, childbirth, and family. Atlas, who holds the heavens on his shoulders, symbolizes determination, resilience, and the strength it takes to overcome life’s challenges. For us, it’s a beautiful reminder to always support one another and work together to keep our relationship strong.
Hera, as the goddess of marriage and family, represents everything we hope to build in our life together: love, unity, and a home filled with joy and abundance. Combining these two powerful figures felt perfect for creating a name that’s uniquely ours and deeply meaningful.
This love of mythology and its timeless tales is also why we chose a Greek mythology-inspired theme for our wedding! It’s a celebration of romance, passion and beauty. We hope our guests feel the magic and intrigue as much as we do!
What is the dress code?
The dress code is semi-formal! We’d love for everyone to look their best while keeping it fun and comfortable. We kindly ask that women avoid wearing white, ivory, champagne, or phthalo green (our wedding party’s color). Thanks so much for understanding!
How do I RSVP?
If you’ve made it to this part of the website, you’re already on the right track! Just head to the RSVP tab on our homepage and search for your full name to find your invitation. From there, you can add additional guests (if listed) and accept or decline the invitation. It’s that easy!
Can I bring a plus one?
If you’ve been given a plus one, you’ll see the option to add their name when you RSVP. If you don’t see that option, we’re keeping it cozy and can’t wait to celebrate with just you!
Where will the Ceremony and Reception be?
The ceremony will be at Valhalla in South Lake Tahoe, with the reception following right after at the same location. We’re so excited about this stunning venue—it’s nestled in the pines, right on the lake, with a gorgeous historic building!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP no later than May 1. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, most of our wedding will be outdoors! The ceremony, dinner, and even some fun lawn games will take place outside. It’s mid-June, so we’re hoping for beautiful weather!
Do you have a gift registry?
We are so fortunate to already have a home and all the essentials we need! Instead of a traditional registry, we’re asking for help to fund our dream honeymoon to St. Lucia. Thank you for making our adventure even more special!
Will dinner and drinks be provided?
Absolutely! We’ll have a delicious spread featuring salad, appetizers, and plenty of pizza from Get Rad Pizza. There will also be a bar to keep the celebrations lively and dessert to sweetly top off the night!
Why are you not allowing children?
We’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration to create a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. This allows all our guests, especially parents, to enjoy the evening without additional responsibilities and just focus on celebrating the evening with us!
The only exception is a few teens from the families of the wedding party, who will be joining us as part of their special connection to our big day. We deeply appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!
How do I get to Valhalla?
The Tallac Historic Site is located 2 miles past the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 89, just past Camp Richardson, on the lake side of Highway 89. Turn right at the street with the “Valhalla” sign to reach the venue.
