Law Street Beach in Pacific Beach, is where Allie & Jake first saw each other in 2009! It's known for its relaxed vibe and scenic coastal views. Popular with locals, it offers a great place for surfing, sunbathing, and enjoying the ocean breeze, with easy access to nearby parks and walking paths (also known as the boardwalk).
Windansea Beach is a stunning, rugged spot that evokes the beauty of Hawaii with its lush surroundings, and powerful surf. We like to keep it a secret! Known for its breathtaking sunsets and vibrant waves, it attracts surfers and nature lovers. It's tropical atmosphere that makes it feel like a slice of paradise on the California coast. This is not a beach suitable for small children that want to swim due to the powerful surf and tides. There are no public facilities like restrooms or water fountains, which helps keep the crowds away but it still gets very busy in the summer.
Ellen Browing Scripps Memorial Park, often referred to as Scripps Park, is a grassy park adjacent to the famous La Jolla Cove and is a great place to have a picnic, walk the boardwalk around the ocean and stop at the various beaches and belvederes, and watch the sea lions.
This is one of our favorite short walks in La Jolla! Coast Walk is a small but exceptionally beautiful scenic walk. It's 0.6 mile trail along the bluffs of La Jolla coastline. Originally intended to be used as a road in the 1920s, Coast Walk Trail is deemed a “paper” street. Designated as a historic asset in 1990, Coast Walk Trail is believed to have been used for over 9,000 years. It’s a fun sandy trek that the entire family will enjoy, especially since there are many great places to stop and explore. Look for wildlife along the route including colorful birds, friendly sea lions, and little critters in tide pools.
One of our favorite, easy hikes! Acres of oceanside trails to walk and explore with occasional dolphin sightings. The views are stunning and you can see the famous Torrey Pines golf course as well.
