On Google, the venue as listed as permanently closed. We are the last wedding ever at this venue! It is still open for our wedding day. Sorry for the confusion!
Do I have to RSVP?
Yes, please RSVP for all parties listed on the RSVP portal under your name. RSVP by September 1st. RSVPing is important for us to ensure adequate food, drink and seating for both the ceremony and reception. Please reach out to Allie or Dylan directly for any questions or comments regarding your RSVP.
Where is the venue?
Both the ceremony and reception are held at The Red Barn at Pine Creek in Marengo, IA. Marengo is just north of Williamsburg. This is approximately 40 minutes from both the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids areas and approximately 1.5 hours from Des Moines.
Can I bring a plus one?
If a plus one is indicated on your RSVP page, you can bring one! However, we ask that you limit your plus one to romantic partners only :)
Are our kids invited?
Your kids are absolutely welcome. Please RSVP accordingly or reach out to one of us! There is a playground outside of the reception tent and we will have kids activity packets available as well.
Will any transportation be provided?
For those staying overnight, we have rented a shuttle bus to provide transportation from the venue at the end of the night to the AmericInn in Williamsburg (see travel info.) You will be on your own to get to the ceremony, but can leave your car parked at the venue overnight if needed.
What should I wear?
The recommended attire is semi-formal. All colors and styles are welcome. Please keep in mind that the pathway leading to the ceremony site is not paved when selecting your shoes.
What happens if it rains?
We are so grateful to have a ceremony site that is covered to shelter from any rain or intense sunshine. However, the pathway leading to the ceremony site is not paved. Please dress accordingly!
