Our story began in Cookeville, TN where Allie was in graduate school and Jeff was working for the Army Corps. Jeff moved in with two TN Tech University students, and went to get drinks at Hix Farm Brewery with his roommates and their friends. Those friends happened to include Allie. Jeff sat next to Allie at the brewery, and remembers loving the way she talked. Allie remembers the excitement of having this new cute guy join the group. They moved on to the next brewery, and Jeff and Allie once again found themselves engaged in conversation. They chatted all night - they bonded over a shared love for Halloweentown and the free pretzels provided by the brewery. Now, if you know Allie and Jeff, Halloweentown and pretzels are major components of their lives, so clearly it was meant to be. A few weeks later Jeff's roommates had a party, which Jeff and Allie were both late to because they independently were out exploring state parks (another thing they bonded over in conversation). Allie remembers being impressed by Jeff's chivalry as he drank in her place when she was loosing in the drinking games that night. The rest is pretty much history because they spent nearly every weekend together after this, and began officially dating two months later on November 27, 2017. They've been together ever since. The things they remember most from those early days of dating is how easy everything was from the start - the laughter, the obvious connection and shared interests, and just being themselves. Their relationship has stood the test of time and distance. They have created many traditions together, from pumpkin picking, watching Halloweentown 1 - 4 every year (duh), driving around to see fall and Christmas decorations, cutting down their Christmas tree, and SO many more. They love their little family, and the love they felt seven years ago in Cookeville remains. They can't wait to be married!!
