After working from home for most of 2020 together (at the same company & in 700 sq ft of space) Austin proposed. Allie was working in the living room & received a group text message from Austin clearly not meant for her. Austin had thought he was just texting Allie's parents but thanks to iMessage another group text including Allie popped up. The text detailed a beautifully planned proposal for the next day at the Nichols Arboretum. Allie shouted AUSTIN! from the next room & he said "what?" & she said "look at your phone!" & he said ****!

The element of surprise was important to both of them so Austin joked they would just have to try again next year. Allie went out to dinner later that night with friends & received the surprise of her life walking up Liberty Street! Austin had made a miraculous recovery and had the proposal on the Michigan Theater Marquee. After many tears and an absolute YES! they were surrounded by friends and family for a perfect evening of celebrations.
