For those that do not enjoy using GPS for directions… coming from Nashville, take I-65 north. Take exit 117 for Portland and turn right off the interstate onto Hwy 52. You will travel through the city of Portland and then over a large bridge going over railroad tracks.

After the tracks you have two options:

1) Turn right onto S Russell St and then take the immediate left onto Fowler Ford Rd. Take Fowler Ford Rd several miles until you come to Butler Bridge Rd at a 4-way stop. Turn left on Butler Bridge Rd. Go about a half mile. You will pass two houses (the second is the Baehne home.) Turn left immediately after the second house onto Leath Rd where you should see signs directing you to park in a field by the house.

2) Go straight through the light after the railroad tracks, remaining on Hwy 52 for several miles. Pay attention to when Hwy 52 turns into a two lane road, after which there will be a bridge with a small green sign stating “Drake’s Creek.” You will turn right onto Leath Rd immediately after the bridge. You’ll follow Leath Rd basically to the end, just before it runs into Butler Bridge Rd. You should see signs directing you to park in a field off Leath Rd.
